Hearn says he's working on this fight for August or September. Cambell is former gold medalist, close loss to the best version version of Linares we've seen. Dominated by Loma. Do or die fight for Cambell. Not sure if Haney can pull this off. Great benchmark fight. Who you got and how does it go?
Ah man tough scrap either way, almost too close to call. I'll go with Campbell close-but-clear UD, maybe even dropping Haney and or having on jelly legs a couple times or more. Campbell can actually bang. The young LW I don't want to see Campbell fight, as a fan of Campbell myself, is Teofimo Lopez. It certainly could be an absolute dust up and Campbell very certainly can beat Lopez, but Lopez can brutally, emphatically, and early highlight reel KO Campbell.
Haney is my least favorite prospect because he goes way too hard on amateurs in sparring.I'm Luke Cambell's biggest skeptic on this website but I'll be rooting for him to kick Haney's ass !!! Let's see if how Luke looks at the weigh ins IMHO. If he's got the sparkle in his eye maybe
I'm a Luke Campbell fan and probably overrated his boxing and his ability because of that, so take anything I say about Campbell with a grain of salt. I think Devin Haney is one of the best young prospects in boxing, but out of all the top echelon prospects, he seems to lack that one shining elite skill or talent or physical ability that all the others have. Maybe he has it and I just can't see it. I do think he will be a he'll of a pro and a world champion at some point. But if he fights Luke Campbell right now I honestly feel Campbell is too Mich too soon and pieces Haney up.
At this stage i favor Luke based on experience and accomplishment. I am not sure what Haneys ceiling is just yet.
