One of the worst commentators in boxing, if not the worse right now. Guy is absolutely dreadful. He can barely formulate a sentence or pronounce words correctly. How does he still have a job let alone call the biggest fights? Good lord Can we just get Roy Jones Jr back on commentary already...
Lewis doesn't know what hes gonna say next, ive lost count of the times hes lost me in commentary..Hes dreadful, maybe even a little stupid
I didn't like his personality as a boxer, but I enjoy listening to him as an analyst. He's calm and insightful. On the other hand, I can't stand those who embody americanised punditry, constantly shouting in an attempt to hyperbolically instil drama. It comes off as obnoxious and waters down what unfolds when scenes genuinely call for emotion. I preferred Evander Holyfield, but I can't listen to him for the reason you associated with Lennox Lewis.
He obviously didn`t beat them with savvy because he knows nothing about boxing over than how to throw the1-2 correctly, when he commentates nothing hhe says is insightful, his trainer Steward was a far better commentator.
While Lewis isnt exactly the best commentator in the bizz, Boom Boom Macini isnt very good as well either
Lennox is ok when doing heavyweight fights but for the most part he is pretty bad Fighters turned commentator are a mixed bag Mancini is pretty off at times and says some wacky **** Leonard could describe something completely different than what is actually occurring in the ring Bradley was good, sometimes I feel like he tries to be a lot like Teddy and use too much jargon type of phrases. for some reason Kriegel who I also think is annoying always tries to argue with Bradley even when he is dead wrong. The Kriegel and Bradley dynamic doesnt work for me. I feel like Ward kind of just shuts Kriegel up which keeps the broadcast tighter I like Ward, I like Jones, Malinaggi is good for the most part, and from only a few fights I thought that Virgil Hunter was pretty good
