They are taught to snap shots because of the gloves you can`t punch the same way asw MMA fighters, they need less technique to score a KO because of their gloves. This content is protected
Karate and some of the other martial arts striking being used as the example are almost never used in MMA fights and this is another silly boxing v MMA thread and poor attempt at putting **** on MMA
That last bit reminded me of a kid at school, who would hold a clench fist inside his jacket like it was a weapon when he was having a fight, he'd punch with it then put it back under his school blazer ready to throw again like it was hidden an no one knew. He use to talk about it like it was special, an under wraps for someone who wanted to have ago at him, daft twat. What's this punch your on about mate ??
Here ya go. They are also called Russian Hooks: This content is protected It's almost like a kind of a wierd leaping overhand. A guy that was really destructive with this is my man Igor: This content is protected You can see that they hit as hard as anything a boxer throws. That said, apparently the way that they turn over can damage the fists if they land wrong. I know Vovchanchyn had steel pins in both his hands and could not close them after his career was done.
On the Fedor clip his hand isn`t landing correctly he`s not landing with the knuckle part of the glove, that punch would be useless with a boxing glove.
He has diverse striking like others but in MMAfights the punches almost every fighter throws are similar to boxing but usually not as good a technique. Theres zero proof boxers throw harder then MMA fighters, fighters like Francis Ngannou for example, hits every bit as hard as boxers like Tyson if not harder
Hiya kid, maybe you want to get some specs and look at the clips again. Vov is absolutely wrecking people with single hits.
I don`t think Ngannou would have the same effect with boxing gloves and he`s by far the hardest hitting MMA fighter of all-time.
