Always found Dempsey to be a Lot more hittable than Tyson or Patterson

Dempsey wasn't primitive, far from it.

Against Tunney? He wasn't at his best then and his legs were gone.

Tyson was clueless against clinches and most of his work came from midrange. He wasn't terrible inside fightsr because of mentioned shortness of punches, but calling him best ever is ridiculous.
What? Dempsey didn't have uppercut? Have you seen at least one of his fights?

Dempsey barely used the upper, he used the hooks much more

    No he wasn't.

There are a number of things that Dempsey did better, but the most glaringly obvious in infighting.

Dempsey was two levels above Tyson in terms of inside game!

    Are you serious?

Tyson was awful on the inside!

I would go as far as to say that he never mastered infighting!

But he used uppercuts, look at Firpo fight for example.

Dempsey was not levels than Tyson at anything. Tyson was better at everything and Dempsey would not last 2 rounds with a prime Tyson, but yeah keep thinking what you want

I am sorry but there is one simple truth that won't go away.

Dempsey was in a better stratosphere as an infighter, meaning that he could actually infight!

There were a couple of sequences of movement and punches, based off of slips and incorporating bob and weaving, that were especially linked to Dempsey. So much so that the old books referred to them as 'the Dempsey triples'.
Take a minute to learn what they were, then learn how to do them, and to do them correctly. It might change your mind about his "primitive" style.
And I can promise you this...walk into probably any gym just about any where and start working those moves on the heavy bag and people will notice and pay attention. And if you can pull them off in sparring you will be the stud pony in that pasture.
    With those primitive moves.
