    Who do you have?

In order, as best as I can put them right now, I’d rate:

    1. Julian Jackson

    2. Wilfredo Gomez

    3. Gerald McClellan

    4. Earnie Shavers

    5. Thomas Hearns

    6. George Foreman

    7. Deontay Wilder

    8. Danny Lopez

    9. Mike Tyson

    10. Bob Foster

I really thought a lot about Michael Spinks at light heavy — he could be just devastating — but he ended up right on the cusp because in some big fights (Qawi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad) he didn’t really utilize his power. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t capable but like Evander and Arguello, among others, more of a boxer-puncher.

I could re-rate many of the above and put them in a different order after the top five or six. And, of course, someone will probably bring up a fighter I overlooked as this was off the top of my head. The hard part is how to compare the heavyweights to the lighter weights.

I’m interested in other peoples’ opinions.

He had like three knockouts in my lifetime. He knocked out less than half of his opponents and about two-thirds of his wins were by stoppage. I wouldn’t rate him above anyone I listed despite his fearsome reputation.

It's comical to rank to McClellan above Tyson and Foster as punchers.

Tyson and Foster blew away durable guys. McClellan never did.

Engels Pedroza could really punch. At the beginning he was a real good boxer, too, but as he realized that he could punch very hard, his attention to other things faded away.

Pacquiao, Wilder, Kudryashov, Wlad, Inoue, GGG, Beterbeiv, Gassiev, Rigo and Donaire.

Aside from the first three, this can probably be in any order. It's not a particularly deep batch.

The same could be said about Wilder too. Plus, throwing huge windmill type punches from another planet is hardly technical or great to watch time after time !
I’m sure most boxers could hit as hard with his punching ‘style’.
