    Pac's style is wrong for De La Hoya. Oscar doesn't have the right hand or movement necessary to shut down Pac's offence.

    Same reason ODLH couldn't hit Sweet Pea, small southpaw with a lot of lateral movement and speed.

    ODLH needs to set his feet to get off, Pac is always moving, that's the main issue.

    Def be more competitive though and Oscar has a chance to land that left hook.

    Cotto did nail a lunging Pac right on the chin with a brutal left hook. Pac's legs dipped. Surprised he wasn't dropped or laid out.

    Pacquiao doesn't have the defense nor the power to beat De La Hoya.

    De La Hoya at 140 was a true monster. That was his prime weight at that time.

    Let's put it this way. Erik Morales who is a mini De La Hoya in some regards was able to keep Pacquiao honest.. De La Hoya who is superior in just about every other department would put a hurting on Pac.

    Morales beat Pacquiao when he was still a left hand-reliant developing fighter. And even then it was a highly competitive fight. His ring craft was nowhere close to what he would later become.

    Pacquiao didn't beat Oscar with power — he put a boxing masterclass clinic on him. From Hatton to Cotto was when Pac was at his absolute peak. Same result — domination, except Oscar might not quit.

    Pacquiao by points, with a decent chance of Pacquiao KO because a younger DLH would throw with Pacquiao instead of being gun shy.

    At140 pounds the transformation in a Pacquiao as a fighter was complete he stops Oscar.

    Prime DLH use to eat come forward fighter's with no good defence alive, Pacquiao is no Whitaker, DLH by stoppage .
