I haven’t complicated anything there has always been a distinction between heavies and super heavies on this forum even though they fight in the same weight class if some posters don’t want to make that distinction or refuse to recognise others recognising it that’s up to them nevertheless the distinction exists and we are free to discuss it if we wish and yes it’s just a bit of fun nobody is being forced to participate here
George Foreman (6ft 3in) was 217 pounds when he won his first title. Tomasz Adamek is 6 foot 1.5 inches and has been in the 220's most of his heavyweight career. Is Adamek a super heavyweight? Or is Foreman a super heavyweight because he put on 35-40 pounds as a middle aged man? I'm not knocking Foreman, or Adamek for that matter, but I don't know if he qualifies for super heavyweight. But like others have said, maybe in his era. Additionally, Ali was a half of inch taller, and 4 pounds less than Foreman. Is Ali a super heavyweight of that era as well?
me personally I don’t consider Foreman to be a super heavyweight as I said earlier in the thread it’s not just about weight but also the dimensions of the body
I was just trying to clear up the ‘distinction’, as it seems some are not aware that there is one, myself included.
well obviously you are of low intelligence please refrain from embarrassing yourself any further on this thread
I don't think I'd classify Wilder as a super heavyweight. He weighed 231 ONCE in 44 pro fights (his last fight) and lost. Ali entered the ring heavier than that. Wilder weighs in the 210s or 220s. That's not a "super" heavyweight. He weighed 219 seven months ago in a title defense. Wilder spent most of his career fighting super heavyweights, because he's not a coward like Usyk and Brieidis and most of his peers in the amateurs were who fought in the same weight class as Wilder did but decided cruiserweight (or, in Beterbiev's case light heavy) would be easier. But Wilder isn't a super heavyweight fighter. He just knocks them out.
you are wilders biggest nuthugger on this board that’s why your post cannot be taken seriously “Wilder is just a heavyweight who knocks out super heavyweights doe“ shut up fan girl your agenda is clear for all to see
10. Primo Carnera 9. Henry Akinwande 50-4-1 6'7" light at start of career, but grew into a super heavyweight. Maybe 8. Jess Willard 7. Ernie Terrell 6. Valuev 5. Riddick Bowe 4. V. Klitschko 3. Wlad Klitschko 2. Tyson Fury 1. Lennox Lewis Edit - Forgot I should add AJ somewhere in there. Maybe take Terrell out entirely, move Valuev up to 7 and AJ up to 6th. Even with this correction my list may still stink. Missing the cut - 7ft 9inch Gogea Mitu. Some say he was 8ft.
What are you talking about? Wilder is not a super heavyweight. You keep saying he weighed more than 230 for a number of fights. NAME THEM. Otherwise, you shut the hell up. A guy who weighed 219 in his last successful defense seven months ago isn't a super heavyweight. A guy who weighed 212 and 214 for both of his title defenses in 2018 isn't a super heavyweight. JOE FRAZIER weighed more in his last two defenses of the title in 1972 (against Terry Daniels and Ron Stander) than Wilder did defending against Ortiz and Fury in 2018. You can't even put into words what a super heavyweight is, clown.
I have already clearly put what a super heavyweight is into words it’s not my fault you are too dumb to understand my posts
