Qawi round 6 KO, he was bigger than Hearns naturally and had the style to beat him, Hearns has power at a distance, but once you get in, he doesn't have that power anymore, Qawi would keep coming and keep the pressure on and he would roll under Hearns's punches and Hearns has no uppercut, anyway I pick Qawi without a doubt IMO

I'd pick Qawi by KO. He was a buzzsaw but also superb defensive boxer, although people didn't always recognize that. He also had a great chin. I don't see Hearns holding him off for too long. That being said, I have always been a big fan of Hearns. I just think he was better at 147 and 154. 175 would have been too much, at least against the very top light heavies of the time.

Qawi far too powerful for Hearns.

I respect the hell out of Tommy for his greatness and courage but he has no chance against prime Dwight at 175. Needless to say, Dwight stops him early to mid rounds.

    Qawi faster than Hagler!
Qawi was like bigger, stronger Hagler with harder punch!
He fought 15 rounds with Holyfield at cruiser and fought Foreman like no one his size did!
He would beat Hearns in 1st rounds or early in second! The guy was LHW/CW who foight bigger man while Hearns was MW!
    Hagler is not Qawi!

Mismatch. Qawi takes out Hearns within 5 rounds tops. There's weight classes for a reason.

Hagler was more skilled than Qawi he had a much better jab and probably better reach, Qawi was not quicker than Hagler and nowhere near his level P4P, Marvin was a killer, P4P Hearns was far more skilled than Qawi also.

Bad matchup for Tommy. Dwight was a monster @175. Wish he stayed there longer and rematched Spinks. From what I read he had the Flu in that fight. Dont know if it's true or not but I would have liked to see them go again.

A rematch was actually signed but it was cancelled when one of them got injured (Qawi I think), then Spinks moved up to challenge Holmes.

But I agree with you on this. Qawi chops down Tommy.
