Nobody got injured. They had a contract w HBO for the rematch and the deal was they fought noone else until it. Spinks went and fought Davis and HBO cancelled the rematch.

 

Dwight didn't have the flu, he had a deviated septum in his nose that he had surgery for after the fight. I and many have had the same surgery. Before surgery and the shaving of yr septum (the middle part of yr nose), it is difficult breathing. That is why it looked like he was smiling. He was actually breathing out of his mouth.

 

I had that same surgery on my left side. The recovery period was unpleasant but I'm really happy I got it done what a difference!

 

Not a good fight for Tommy. Bad style matchup. He would hit Qawi, but it wouldn't do much.

Bull****! Went like I said, then July Eddie MM wouldn't lose weight on fight night so that was ruined. The. Spinks fought Riva...... Qawi never was set again. He fought heavier thereafter.

Qawi (formerly Dwight Braxton) left his training camp after aggravating a chronic shoulder injury, fight promoter Butch Lewis told a hastily-called news conference.
