As much as I love Donald Curry I think I gotta give Forrest the edge here. Vernon was tall for a welterweight and Donald had trouble with rangy fighters. He could also bang and beat some pretty elite world class boxers such as a prime Shane Mosley ( who I might also favor over Curry.) I would certainly like to think that Donald would have a chance and I’d probably cheer for him, but something tells me this just isn’t his match.

Tough pick, leaning towards Forrest's speed and height/reach advantage. Curry had a tighter defense and was a bigger puncher

Donald Curry annihilated M.Mccory who was the same height as Forrest with a longer reach. Forrest
wouldn't have a speed advantage over Curry or better skills. Forrest biggest wins were a sweep of
Mosley, Those fights showed me how one dimensional Mosley was, he couldn't adjust to Forrest
height and reach advantage , and basically repeated the same mistakes both fights.
Prior to the disaster against Honeyghan, Curry was looking unbeatable and was being compared
to Ray Leonard and Robinson. A obviously weight drained and unfocused Curry with all the behind the scenes
problems with his management team clearly wasn't prepared for the underrated Honeyghan .

I'll go with a prime and focused Curry over a prime and focused Forrest. He was a better fighter
in my opinion with all the tools of a fighter that should've been an ATG. ( Minus a suspect ability
of taking a great punch) but speed, punching power and skills he was superior to Forrest.
Forrest would have his moments, but Curry should win this by a close but unanimous dec.

Curry dismantles Forrest. Just a level above.

Forrest was simply a good fighter who had a better fighter's number. But while Forrest's style matched up well with Shane, it doesn't match up well with Curry.

Curry stops Forrest late, after being in command for most of the fight.

I thought Curry was magnificent at his best. I can't see him losing to Forrest. Maybe 12 round decision.

Another vote for Curry. Simply a better fighter.

It depends on whether or not you class Curry as a drained fighter against Honeygahn. If you do it's easy to conclude Curry was near unbeatable at 147.

Forrest was a fine fighter, but he was blitzed by Mayorga who was not.

Good summary. Curry was class while the Mosley fights made Forrest look better than he was.
