Frankie Gavin Exactly it is a shame but I reckon he has earnt close if not close to 7 figures in his career I think someone like Gavin and the environment he has grown up in will always have struggled financially no matter what he earnt in his career.
Despite the world pandemic and ensuing economic and poverty crisis refunding Frankie Gavin for his belts is surely top of everyone's priority list right now.
So true what you say, but to be fair most fighters are advised properly, but sometimes the grass is always greener elsewhere, and then the problems start for them.
The scrap value alone would be worth a fortune. It's made out of gold and although I'm not sure how much it weighs it's worth a tidy sum to a criminal with a simple smelting set up. I understand what u mean tho LG , as a belt in its own right it's pretty much worthless because it's stolen property and can't be displayed. So what would be the point of anyone buying one.

Hopefully the belt turns up. I can't see many giving up money at this time for a WBA intercontinental belt. Hopefully frankie isn't in massive financial trouble. I thought he was a good boxer but just never had the power to get him all the way to the very top.

I watched an interview Arnie gave, and he mentions Gavin and how he will look back and have plenty of regrets, saying he works on the railways, yet the money he earned/could have earned he could have owned a railway.
There's more to it imo, I think he has demons now, not at the start as much, but when I see him interviewed he looks lost now. If he'd knuckled down he had the beating of a good fighter in the fella he fought for the euro, forget his name, but if he was serious about his career, dough aside, he should never have got in with Brook, a 100% unwinnable fight
He's still only 34 to 35. He should give it 1 last push with 100% effort and try to get down to 135. He's got the skill but is puny and a feather fist at 147. A couple of big paydays invested well will make the rest of his life easy.
