Schmeling is underrated but foreman also has Norton, Lyle, Chuvalo, Cooney, Moore, and a robbery against Briggs. It would take some incredible mental gymnastics to put Baer over Foreman when aside from Schmeling, his best wins are circus freak carnera and hot dog chomping Galento.

Yes I think the same, Schmeling should be ranked higher because he had greater wins, but I think Moorer would have beaten him because of styles

Um...I had more things to say about me and Azumah Nelson in Paris. He had a pet civet named Drenchrom.

Foreman was a hell of a lot stronger and punched harder.
Neither was extremely technical/skilled, but I still give Foreman the edge even in this department.

That's not true though. Baer beat better fighters than Galento. We did his top 5 wins in the other thread and Galento didn't even make top 5.

I disagree but that's acceptable opinion.

I love Baer as much as anybody, but we have to say based on the available evidence, that Foreman was better.

Better top end wins, less embarrassing losses, and of course got the title back in his 40s.

It might be fair to say that Baer had a bit more depth to his resume, and that his endurance was better.

As to who the greater fighter was, I think that history has made its choice!

And don't pretend that Shannon Briggs doesn't make your top 5
