As a boxing fan, I’d watch but BJS shouldn’t be at supermiddle, the size difference would be like a freak show. That’s why I’m not that interested in it. I don’t really see them as rivals.

I can’t see there being the wider interest to raise the funds needed to make it happen either. Both will want a lot of money and neither has a particularly big following. Not convinced it captures the wider public’s imagination either.

Money and Sky not being too sure about the viability of a PPV on their platform.

Smith would be better of unifying with another champ or moving up and travelling for the dough.

BJS could go back to middleweight and fight GGG, Andrade or even fight Jacobs at SMW.

    Plenty of options...

I don’t think this fight is one we’ll look back on in years to come and think “what a fight we missed out on there, would’ve been huge”.

Honestly think part of the problem is there are very few fans who like either of them.

BJS is just a knob and has looked bang average in his last few fights.

Smith had momentum after the WBSS win but his momentum and value has significantly dropped after his inactivity and his last questionable "win".

The reality of the situation is that BJS couldnt draw flies to a **** heap. His motivational levels to be a boxer are clearly not there as his career has shat the bed since he beat Lemieux.

Whilst as far as Callum is concerned, he got beaten by John Ryder. Most people want him to rematch John Ryder, rather than pretend that he won and carry on like nothing has happened.

Both would be happy with a big pay day to be cannon fodder for Clenelo I am sure.

It is not a fight I think will be good to watch. BJS will run rings around Callum and make him miss, but not land much himself. It would end up being a dull fight without much action and probably result in a BJS win. Callum wouldnt want the BJS fight.

Like Billy Joe and would happily watch this but neither are big enough draws to justify the fight. Both need a dance partner who can draw in viewers.

Wether either fighter loses to Canelo their fight against each other will always be there for decent money were as if one was to lose to the other there is no big money Canelo fight ever.

I was just thinking about this and think you’re absolutely right , I couldn’t care for either fighter really. BJS is just a div, Smith has no personality and has done nothing since the WBSS apart from a questionable win over Ryder.

Neither guy brings a huge amount of money to the table so they'd both rather wait for Canelo and take tick over fights in the meantime.

The judges of the Ryder fight have made me disinterested in Smith going forward.

I think it's down to popularity of both fighters. Neither have a big following, neither are very popular. It will bomb on PPV.

Smith needs to move up, he ain't no spring chicken now.

One or both sides clearly don't fancy at all imo,it would most likely bomb on ppv but it's still a huge domestic unification fight and if any of them had any ambition they would be pushing hard for it.instead they are farting about being greedy and turning down career high paydays.canelo&each other.
