Anyone else get the feeling reality has set in with Hearn after the announcement that Fury and AJ have agreed purse split for the unification and he is now getting cold feet. All his latest interviews have been pushing a WBC mandatory shot for Whyte since the announcement. The public dont want to see Fury vs Whyte we want Fury vs AJ. My theory of it is Hearn knows AJ loses to Fury and it finishes him so he wants to milk a few more PPVs from us before they do fight. He will be hoping with the legal action that after the Fury VS Wilder fight the WBC then order Fury VS Whyte and then he can spin us that the mandatory need to happen before the unification ect ect. We all know unification over mandatory so we should not buy into the bull he will come out with. He will hope Whyte puts in the proformace of his life and Fury come in unmotivated as its not really a big fight and pulls off the upset as there will be no rematch clause as it's a mandatory... Then Sky and Matchroom hold the monopoly to charge £50 pvp for AJ VS Whyte in a fight AJ will win as he has Whytes number. With Fury having the Belt atm he is with BT and if sky say £29.99 BT will just come in with the normal £25. Hearn has seen the numbers the fight will do and wants to try his best to get his 10% of both fighters in the undisputed by having AJ vs Whyte. He is a weasel. Fury beats Whyte to a pulp anyway it's a **** fight. I just want to see Fury become undisputed and I have a feeling Hearn is going to block it the best he can because HE is too greedy.
It becomes a lot easier to understand the actions of Eddie Hearn when you consider his motivation is to make money. If Fury fights Whyte, Eddie makes money, then they face AJ and he makes even more. He also makes money by talking up Whyte, increasing his value as a fighterand bolstering his case against wbc, which will either result in a payoff or leverage to make even more money. Of course as the only man in boxing motivated by mone and not e Corinthian spirit of sportsmanship and love of the game, Eddie is someing of an outlier, but once you understand his motivation everything else falls into place.
I'm hardly Eddie's biggest fan but I don't think he's just a weasel. Therefore, I picked the 'work for Matchroom' option, although seemingly I'm furloughed at the moment...
Seems alot of Matchroom employees frequent the forums nowadays. I'm just so hyped that we may get a undisputed fight at HW involving my favourite fighter of the last 20 years and to me it seems Hearn after all the stuff he has been saying for years about undisputed and Wilder when there is a chance to make it and the biggest part of making it (the split) has been sorted he is now pushing another narrative as i believe he knows Fury ruins AJ. I just dont think we see it till 2022 guys.
I dont know mate I've been a member for a while but posting has been a bit stretched out. I must admit I dont really post on forums much I'm more of a lurker but with lockdown and lack of boxing I've been trying to engage in some boxing discussions with other fans to entertain myself through the situation we are in atm. I dont think I have said anything wrong though mate a ban would be harsh.
