I think so too. I have a very high level of admiration of Michael Spinks. Brilliant boxer with good physical tools and the ability to solve many styles. But a traditional light heavy Vs a talented super heavy is a very tough proposition. Not sure I can envision a way for Spinks to win.
Herky jerky akward Spinks could give any champ headache. He'd probably do it here, surprising Fury and perhaps even stunning him with a few hard rights. But if Fury doesn't dick about too much, I see him catching Spinks up finally, dropping him and getting a decision win.
Don't like the Spinks chances at all against this guy. He needs old reflexes and stationary targets to use his abilities best. Polar opposite of what this guy does. I really do not see Spinks landing 5 or 6 punches a round against this defense. And most of those will be rolled with so the amount of clean shots landed is woeful. Dreary bout to watch and the over/under on posing and feints would account for 2 minutes and change every round. Be up there with the ST Gordon--Berbick fight for excitement.
No. Horrible. No risks taken and no exchanges. hardly any combos landed because both would miss far too many. And Spinks' legs are not getting him in the same area code as this guy and the arc of his punches has to be different.
