if that statement there was true, Uncle Roger who knows a hell of alot more about Boxing than your gay ass does, Roger would not have told Floyd after the 9th or 10th round that he needed to step it up DLH is ahead on the cards, if the fight was not that close why would roger say DLH was winning the fight in the last third of the fight?:think

Close good fight, had Mosley winning 115-113, could've gone either way.

And it did it went to cotto, I think Shane could have ekked it out had he pressed Cotto in the last few rounds had he done more to take control it would have shown on the cards.
its really Shanes fault the fight was on the table for him he just couldnt get done what he needed to get done.

Cotto is an unrhythmic fighter. Mosley had no idea what was coming the whole fight. It wasnt that he looked old or tired, he just was out boxed. Cotto out boxed him and the people that saw it are still in shock to this day. They seem to forget that Cotto is an olympic boxer with a stellar amateur career. A fighter that is left but fights orthodox and shares equal power in both hands. A fighter with a great and very fast jab that comes unpredictably and without pattern or remorse. A fighter, that with a left hook to the body, can stop, drop or halt any opponents chance at flustering him. A fighter that fights anyone, anytime, anywhere and a fighter that will forever be reguarded as the underdog until he beats Mayweather. This, becasue Mayweather has chosen to hang em up, will never happen. Therefore Cotto shold be held in regards with all the other greats who were GREAT but never considered TOO GREAT becasue of their competitions mishaps and not theirs. Fighters like Mike McCallum and what not. It's a sad turn of events when a man like Cotto who never argues money or venue and who fights everone can no be regarded and universally respected as great. At least great, for an era in which so much of boxing has been about business rather than the sport itself. Cotto, a fighter who fights about 3-5 times a year against top competition can not gain the respect of fighters who fight once a year against less than stellar opponents. But thats boxing and thats boxing fans. Its sad, but hopefully one day, after being the underdog for so long, Cotto will somehow find a common ground amongst all fans. That's his goal, he has always said he is about legacy and not money. So far he has proven it, and i think, based on that alone, he should have the respect of all of you.

Notice how Mayweather fans have this a draw or for Mosley, yet seemingly any impartial viewer scores it clearly for Cotto, considering the rounds were easy to score :nut

I don't know who are more scared of Cotto, him or his fans

Shane fought wrong at times, I expected him to slug but not as much as he did, he should have boxed and secured the fight instead but no he just kept trying to slug and possibly knock Cotto out.

But man Mosley landed some serious bombs and Cotto just took them, his chin is far better than people give him credit for.

No, it shouldn't have. It was a close fight, but Cotto did enough to win and showed heart in that fight.

I won cash money on Cotto in this fight I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. Mosley didn't look good at all. Those mid rounds in particular that Cotto dominated, Mosley stood directly in front of Cotto and used no head movement and moved straight back. Cotto was probably shocked at how easy Mosley was to hit, LOL, I know I was. Offensively, Mosley was putting almost no steam on any of his punches except for an occasional overhand right. Mosley was incredibly sloppy with his punches. I'm halfway convinced already that Mosley's shot. Either that or he had a bad night.

Shane Mosley is older. I guess as a Cotto fan i like to say that Mosley is not shot or was not shot for that fight. but you do have a point. but still, i think it was still a very good showing on cotto's part, he pulled out a victory that some said he would not have. I think we can respectfully ALMOST disagree on the matter of whether or not Mosley was SHOT and we can at least appreciate the fact that Cotto has another win on his rise to the top.

Good post, I agree, it was a sensational win for Cotto. Regardless of the opportunities Mosley might have given him Cotto was able to capitalize in style. Hell, not everyone is even capable of capitalizing, and when there was an opening Cotto pounced on it. He fought a very measured, professional fight.
