Hide is basically Wilder with boxing ability, so Hide by KO, they both throw unorthodox punches, Wilder is too inactive and when he does try to box and throw a few punches, he just leaves himself open and gets hit because of his clumsy footwork, Hide has far better feet than Wilder which is why he would be able to land his shots and Wilder wouldn't be able to land his and I know this don't mean anything, but Hide KO'd prime Damon Reed in 1 round and Wilder took 2 rounds to KO washed Damon Reed and Wilder only KO'd Reed because Reed was showboating
Hide gets Wilder out of there. He fought scared sometimes, but the was a real fighter, had skills, and could punch. I was hoping he would pick-up a cruiser title in the twilight of his career but it was not to be. My favorite Hide moment, however, was not the crushing of Bent, or even the near-upset of Bowe, but the...err..incident...with Audley. This content is protected
Wilder, split decision................he jokes. This really is a 3 round fight, limited skill, no jabbing & plenty of overhand rights. Wilder probably wins, unfortunately.
Wilder would get to Hide. Hide is the superior fighter but he matches up terribly against Wilder, who would be too big for Hide to deal with. Don't get me wrong, could I see Hide catching Wilder and putting him in trouble - yes. But my head says Wilder stops Hide.
The Hide that fought Riddick Bowe would take Wilder apart. Hide's movement and speed would open Wilder right up for shots down the pipe and over the lead hand and Wilder would be lunging off balance trying to fire back, walking into more shots. Hide doesn't hit with massive power but I reckon he would have done enough by the fourth or fifth round.
