Originally scheduled to be part of the Regis Prograis vs. Maurice Hooker & Filip Hrgović vs. Gerald Forrest undercard two months ago. Matchroom has yet to announce the rescheduled date, still classed a postponed (rather than canceled) upcoming event. (ignore what it says on BoxRec; they aren't going to actually have all these guys sit on the sidelines until April of 2021...) 10 rounds @ welter. The veteran Namibian has a half-inch of both height and reach on his fellow southpaw, and boasts nearly a hundred rounds more pro experience than does the former amateur star. That said, his title reign was brief and ended in spectacularly violent fashion (as did his subsequent loss), so the undefeated prospect has to be favored.
I'm thinking this will be Yeleussinov's coming out party. I've been waiting for him to break out and have a signature win with a much more vertical career trajectory, but something has been missing, tough to put a finger on it. He's seemingly missing something in his game right now that Korobov was when he first turned pro, kinda tipping you off the pro's were not gonna follow amateur suite. Yeleussinov KO.
