Been a lot worse than Dennis.
This is in no real order :
    Bruce Seldon
    Charles Martin
Fielding for sure if you classify what he held as a world title.
    John Ruiz
    Nikolai Valuev
    Bernaine Stiverne
    Deontay Wilder
    Fedor Chudinov
    Julien Lorcy
    Stefano Zoff
    Lucas Browne
    Fres Oquendo
Plus a lot of names I just can't remember right now.
There's been a lot of very average so called 'World' champions in this modern era!

Most definitely not the worst but I’m gonna say it anyway. Charlie Edwards.

I was just gonna say, if we count the WBA regular belt then there are gonna be a lot of names to choose from. Browne would among the worst for sure.

See a lot of disrespect to Dennies Andries on this thread which is seriously unwarranted and unjustified. Those peddling this need to have a serious word with themselves. DA whilst not the mostly naturally gifted was an overachiever who humbled himself to go to the Kronk to re-learn his trade so much so he won the respect of the likes of Thomas Hearns, Gérard McClellan, Michael Moorer and the rest of the Kronk. As the great Manny Steward said it was not a case of teaching an old dog new tricks because Dennis had no tricks pre-Kronk.

    Deontay Wilder....
As a boxer he is shocking, zero skill at all just very powerful.
Its shocking to think he held that WBC belt hostage for all those years but it's ok The Gypsy King arrived back on the scene to rid boxing of The Bronze Bomber just as he did Wlad.
    Long live the King.

Luis Santana is a good call. And he actually made one successful defense pulling the same 'sleeping' act.

Brutal. I can't recall anything as bad. (Then again, Terry Norris was a notorious cheap-shot artist. I lost count of the number of guys he hit while they were on the deck. Just watched Norris-Leonard again the other day, and I'd forgotten he'd hit Sugar Ray when he was on the floor, too. So it was probably fitting the entire "Santana Reign" happened because of Terry's repeated fouling.)

Billy Backus was, at his very best, less than average.

Carlos Maussa made everyone laugh with his "style." I half expect, if we ever get film of Greb, that Harry will fight like Maussa and bum out a lot of historians.

Probably Santana. That "reign" was as peculiar as peculiar gets.

I just remember him being very crude & limited. Strong as an ox though to be fair.

Dennis Andries was a fine champion. I've heard a couple people talk about how bad he was in recent weeks. I never thought that about him at all. I always enjoyed his fights. When they tried to stage a light heavyweight unification back in the day featuring Andries, Charles Williams, Virgil Hill and Michael Moorer, I thought it sounded good. I never thought Andries didn't belong.
