Ruiz was, as you rightly say, more than a little tubby, but still dangerous, this combined with the fact that he lost the time before, and the change of style for AJ make it my choice.
I'd say Ruiz or Parker, although is win over Whyte is ageing well. The win over Povetkin is meaningless. Wlad's was better.
The Whyte win is good but would mean a lot more now. The Parker win was unwatchably bad, Fury-Klitschko level of non-combat. Povetkin he ended faster than Klitschko and more emphatically, however he was hurt and lost rounds something Klitschko was never close to doing with a younger Povetkin. Ruiz was beached whale in the rematch but was important that Joshua recovered, though the safety first style he employed is not reassuring. The rest are not really worth discussing. I'd lean toward Povetkin for now, and double down on that if he beats Whyte in an upset this August.
Povetkin for me, he's shown even lately against Fury and Hunter that he is stiĺl very competitive. Povetkin brought it that night he fought Joshua too, it was a good performance by AJ. Then Ruiz, I still rate Ruiz pure fighting skills, it takes a lot to comeback from a loss like that. Then Parker, still one of the best in the division but Parker needs to find some 'mongrel'. The Joseph Parker win will historically stack up as his best after Klitschko alongside the rematch win over fat boy.
i thought you meant best win since beating klitschko in a chronological sense if that was the case povetkin then parker If just next best win overall Povetkin or Whyte but Parker and Whyte had a good fight and are sort of on even terms though I had Whyte beat Parker pretty clearly on my scorecard
Povetkin was his best win, I'd say better than Wlad TBH. Wlad was retired and came back. He had just been dominated (so to speak) and retired in his previous fight. Povetkin was still active and I believe had stopped everyone except Christian Hammer before fighting him (post Wlad loss). He broke Joshua's nose and gave a lot of resistance until he ultimately fell apart.
Povetkin probably. And considering he blasted him out too instead of the nonsense we saw against Parker and Ruiz 2.
Parker IMO. He should have a win against a (possibly) prime Whyte, has a win against Ruiz, took Hughie's 0, and has a win against Takam. Dimitrenko is a nice win too. He also still had his youth, hadn't been in too many wars, and held a belt.
