    That's not fair to Joppy.

Funnily enough when Hopkins was on the come up he was considered one of the biggest hitting middleweights in the division at the time

Now I don’t think his power is on the level of great, but he has serious snap and accuracy behind his punches which could pay dividends.

I know it wasn’t against stellar opposition, but Hopkins does boast 12 1st round knockouts in his first 22 fights.

Neither does he have the agressive style of Hagler or Barkley. He is not going to win a boxing match with Hearns

I don't think that Tommy was that bad at 160. He lost a barnburner to Hagler but didn't embarrass himself. No shame in losing to Hagler anyway. Made quick work of Shuler. Beat the crap out of Andries and dominated Dewitt even though Dewitt gave him a good fight. He was boxing Barkley's mug off until he was caught. I favor Bhop only slightly because of his canniness and stanima.

not in my opinion. Hagler and Barkley were pressuring aggressive fighters. Not so Hopkins. Not to mention that they were harder punchers than BHop

BHop kind of was a pressure aggressive fighter at one point...and he was just so much better than Barkley.

    Trinidad wasn't a middleweight.
Joppy was an extremely run of the mill 'champion'.
Glen Johnson was a nobody until he moved up.
Roldan would have beaten all 3 at middleweight.

    Benitez wasnt a Light Middleweight.

And Roldan is 50/50 vs Joppy, losses to Glen Johnson and gets his brains beat in by Trinidad

Tito wasn’t better than Benitez in terms of overall skills.

He had power and looked a credible MW though.

He shouldn’t be criticised, considering that Hearns had success at LHW.

Lots of people get criticised unfairly.

I personally think Hagler vs Hearns is a great win.
