    To be fair to Ray, he also declared after the fight that needed to go and learn to box. typical humility from one of boxing's nice guys.

    Mercer was an excellent contender imo. I honestly loved when he batted the yee-haw out of Morrison the "white hope". I knew Tommy didn't stand a chance.

    great fight (Mercer vs Morrison) Ray sure took the cockiness out of Tommy, all fairness to Tommy, he hated that White hope monicker, as much as Jerry Quarry did!, you did not mention "White Hope" around Quarry !
