    How would the heavyweight version of Bobby Foster do, up against Cooney who sleepwalked his way to getting kod by m Spinks?
    Foster never had great success at Heavyweight, but facing this version of Cooney??

    Foster knocks Cooney out in the 5th round or so but instead of a brilliant combination of punches like Spinks, It's a brutal left hook against the much slower and uninterested version of Cooney.

    I don't rate Bob as an heavyweight, he just couldn't carry up the power. An ATG obviously at light heavy but like most, couldn't do as well rising up. But this Cooney really wasn't at his heavyweight best was he? So Foster maybe in with a shot. Spinks of course more successful at this weight but still not a massive banger, but enough to ko Cooney. I don't write his chances off totally of beating the former great white hope.

    That version of Cooney was very sick both mentally and physically. Foster beats him.

    He got his ass kicked because Spinks was a better fighter.

    Don’t make excuses ‘cause the guy’s grandparents are from the same place as yours.

    Cooney was hungover from alcohol and cocaine for the Spinks fight. Cooney shouldn't have been anywhere near a boxing ring at that time.

    Foster had a vicious shot and was a GREAT light heavy. I don't know if he could take a flush shot from Cooney and not get discombobulated, though.

    I’m going with Cooney. Spinks had already acclimated to the division and proved he could compete there by beating the heavyweight champion of the world. Foster couldn’t beat anyone at heavy and usually lost early against everyone he faced.

    Foster was the least successful world champion who moved up to heavyweight at heavyweight.
    Foster didn't have the right style to compete at heavyweight, he tried to adapt, but it wasn't good enough, Foster lost to mediocre fighters at heavyweight, Ernie Terrell, Bob Hazleton in a goddamn rematch where Foster won the first fight, I know Hazleton was on steroids, but he was still mediocre, Cooney KO's him early, any version
