The Jones who fought at 154 is an absolute myth based on how good he became.

The Floyd at 154 was an absolute legend based on how good he once was.

    Different leagues.

it´s like saying Chavez Jr. wasn´t a big ass middleweight because he made his pro debut at 130.

Damn right different leagues, at the least Roy wins a wide decision. Faster, more power, bigger, more reach. It hurts to know Floyd would have been stuck in a shoulder roll or high guard all night getting pummelled.

    But he wouldn't though.

Jones Jr was nothing at LMW.

But he would. I'll go further and say that the Forrest that son'd Mosely would have put hands on Floyd too. As would Duran, Leonard, Hearns and Probably Paul Williams also.

Jones Jr would've won a world title on his pro debut, he was that good.

He hadn't achieved anything yet, but he already had the goods.

Floyd & Roy were very much alike neither would travel overseas to fight . They would only fight where they knew they would get home cooking from the judges plus both cherry picked opponents like fruit farmers lol

Rjj was a victim of arguably the biggest robbery in boxing history in the 1988 Olympics i dont blame him for not going overseas. You cant tell me that fight wasnt a robbery cj be honest.

Of course it was one of the biggest robberies anywhere BUT being robbed of the gold medal MADE Roy's career. Everyone was saying the same as you " poor Roy dont blame him only fighting at home" Look at his resume .... Littered with policemen ,teachers, postmen all part time fighters as
title defences. Dang he even defended against an Aussie garbage collector. I'll agree both Roy & Floyd were very talented boxers but what they both lacked were a fighting champions balls & thats why their legacy fades into obscurity

Pbf will never fade into obscurity he retired at the right time and didn't stay too long when he was done like rjj. Pbf was fighter of the last decade ffs. Both are true atgs rjj is an example of a guy who didn't know when it was time to hang em up and it messed up his legacy.

How many times has Floyd "retired" ROFL Is it THREE TIMES. It was every time he thought he might have to face a dangerous opponent eg Margarito for one. Floyd's dark cloud of suspicion over his career with all the cheating & the blatant backing of the State Commission & Vegas judges stopped him being considered Fighter of the decade Pacquaio deserved that title by a mile

Agreed. Anyone who followed boxing in 2003 knew who mayweather was and recognized him as an established p4p fighter for quite some timr. I actually thought he was more talented than roy at this point, but obviously he hadn't cemented himself as a household name. I liked this 2003 version of pbf way more than the money version.
