    and held his own?

Who do you see him beating and losing to had he moved up some time?

He'd have been facing Bob Foster... no middleweight holds his own.

unfortunately that's true. No light heavyweight could go with Foster, save for Moore, Charles, and Saad Muhammad, and those are only possibilities.

I do not see Monzon moving up in weight, he was satisfied with his weight class, did not have weight issues, he was thin.

Michael Spinks would give Foster much better go than Saad would. I'd pick Spinks to win, as well as John Henry Lewis.

Foster outjabs and outpunches him. 160lbs was perfect for Monzon at the time.

I don't agree. Spinks was a great light heavy, a top 5 probably, but he was not tough enough imo to take all the knockdowns Foster would give him. Saad could take everything Foster could dish out, and come back to defeat him via superio stamina. Remember, Saad stopped Pops twice, who was similar to Foster in a few ways imo.

Foster was formidable, obviously, though I think there's quite a few who would give him a run for his money... Spinks, Tunney, Greb, Conn, Johnson, Loughran. All those fights would be competitive.

Nothing wrong with dominating your division as long as he did and not moving up

No, his height and reach were a huge part of his game/style/success

That is right, listening to a bunch of blood thirsty people is not smart, they probably never laced a glove in their life to request such things, if they did they had a lot of losses.

I wrestled and went thru different classes, going up and facing stronger guys was difficult for me.. and cutting the weight to go down .. extremely hard on your body

I did not know you boxed, sounds very difficult to me. But most fighters with no weight problems are pretty satisfied at their respective weight.
