I think Coopers powerful left hook gives him a great chance here. He put Ali on his ass and Ali had an ATG heavyweight chin. I'd say his left hook is harder than anything Andy Ruiz has in his arsenal.

But is he too good? That's the question!

Logic will say AJ is too big and he is. That’s not to say that Henry couldn’t catch him, it’s highly doubtful though as AJ would be well aware to watch for that main weapon of his. I just think the sheer size and reach would be too much for Henry.... but you know Henry would be game the whole time and go out on his shield that’s for sure. Henry Cooper was a helluva fighter and a very good man.

Henry Cooper was, what, 185lbs? He wouldn't even be an average CW these days.

    Ludicrous mismatch.

His fundamentals are good enough so that he can utilize his massive size and reach advantage

Henry's skill and punching power make it pretty even

Size and reach isn't everything. A winning attitude, toughness and grit gets the job done here. Cooper by KO

No they don't. Cooper found himself overwhelmed by Patterson. He isn't beating any top modern-day HW.

Henry didn't really have that much skill. Maybe more than Joshua, but not by much. Nowhere near enough to mitigate the massive size difference.

Enry on Joshua's ped stack would see his hammer land and no torn glove would save the shopper.

Patterson was very fast and skilled himself. If we took Patterson from 1960 and transplanted him to 2020, he would easily rule with a reign of terror over today's heavyweight division.

One of these threads where you look for reasons to make Cooper the winner.

Gun to head you choose Joshua all day long though.
