    Kovalev.

    Plant.

    Now Sounders.

It's Clenelo's take on Floyd's last possible minute to announce fight announcements (drug testing manipulation).

Virgil Hunter said he did the same with Angulo who had been inactive.

It is a tactic he uses , but professional boxers should be ready to enter camp at any time throughout the year.

No. He knows he's fighting, and so can start training first. The other guy isn't gonna start training if they might not get the fight.

Not if you have already been in camp and running cycles in line with that camp.
It's a perfect plan and would give him the turn around to use masking agents to keep him in the clear for any testing too.

Chess not checkers when it comes to ODLH and his team.

I agree with Kirk. This idea that you must have more than 8 weeks to be in there at your best is new and bizarre.

And if you genuinely need 10 weeks to be able to do boxing, up your state of readiness or lose millions.

Tyson Fury had an 8 week camp for Wilder 2 with a new trainer.

He took a page out of Deontay Wilders book. He routinely gave Boxrec #50 fighters four week time to prep for their title shot.

It’s often stated that Canelo learned more about boxing outside of the ring than inside after his fight with Floyd. Same way Floyd learned from Oscar as Oscar learned others about the luxuries you have available when you’re one of the cash cows of boxing.
