When this wonderful series is over, I think I'm going to attempt to pull together, for my own amusement, a division-by-division list of great rounds.

    Hi gang,

I thank everyone for participating in this. I have decided not to do a Round vs. Round voting ‘tournament’ pitting one round against another and having the winners advance. it would take up a lot of time and occupy the forum for another fairly long stretch.

If polls allowed 15 spots I’d do it because it would be just creating one thread with each round embedded and then turning it loose for everyone to vote on.

I’m going to turn my energies into participating in the pinned thread @Rumsfeld ranking the top 15 in each of the original eight weight classes and a top 25 overall. I’ve toyed with it by putting some of my easier top choices in but it’s going to take a lot of research to do it justice (and some of those I’ve plugged in may change). I urge everyone who hasn’t already to check that out and take part.

If anyone else wants to take the rounds the forum has voted on and do something with them, they have my blessing. Or if someone wants to take it in a different direction, that’s OK by me too.

Once again, I thank everyone for participating in something that has been helping me get through this strange and (mostly) horrible year.

Thanks @Saintpat for this series - it was great.

For what it's worth, of the winning rounds, I'd have voted my top 3 as:
    1. Saad-Lopez 2 round 8
    2. Holmes-Norton round 15
    3. Chavez-Taylor round 10

These were my picks during this series.

    Round 1: Hagler-Hearns
    Round 2: Norris-Waters
    Round 3: Benn-Logan
    Round 4: Foreman-Lyle
    Round 5: Avelar-Vasquez
    Round 6: Ortiz-Berto I
    Round 7: Green-Price
    Round 8: Muhammad-Lopez II
    Round 9: Jofre-Medel I
    Round 10: Chavez-Taylor I
    Round 11: Watson-Eubank II
    Round 12: Gomez-Pintor
    Round 13: Olivares-Kanazawa II
    Round 14: Chacón-Limón IV
    Round 15: Edwards-Limon

And to be honest, I can't help but feel a little disappointed by some (rounds 14&15). But this has been a great thing, Pat. Thanks. I think my stand out few would be:
    1. Avelar vs Vasquez, R5
    2. Saad vs Lopez II, R8
    3. Watson vs Eubank II, R11
    Some heavy competition.

    These were mine:

    R1. Arguello-Pryor 1
    R2. Rosario-Randall 2
    R3. Gomez-Pintor
    R4: Foreman-Lyle
    R5: Avelar-Vaquez
    R6: Hagler-Mugabi
    R7: Ramos-Ramos
    R8: Saad-Lopez 2
    R9: Jofre-Medel 1
    R10: Chavez-Taylor 1
    R11: Holmes-Weaver 1
    R12: Gomez-Pintor
    R13: Olivares-Kanazawa 2
    R14: Chacon-Limon 4
    R15: Holmes-Norton

If I was picking only three from that list, I think my order would be:
    1. Saad-Lopez 2, round 8
    2. Jofre-Medel 1, round 9
    3. Gomez-Pintor, round 3

I thought of a great round 6 the other day that I was convinced would have won it had it been nominated... and then completely forgot it again!

So @Saintpat - just thinking that for posterity at least, if any one thinks of any complete rounds that got missed from all the nominations then they could still post them here.

In the meantime, if I think of that round 6 again, I'll post it here.

Loved this series... oh, and it absolutely pissed on that abomination of a programme called "The 15 greatest rounds of all time" claiming to do more or less the same thing that came out about 30 years ago:

Been thinking about my actual list if the restrictions were lifted and I could add any I thought of after nominationa. It'd probably look like this:

    Round 1: Mancini-Frias
    Round 2: Norris-Waters
    Round 3: Arbachakov-Kittikasem I
    Round 4: Foreman-Lyle
    Round 5: Avelar-Vasquez
    Round 6: Griffith-Paret III
    Round 7: Green-Price
    Round 8: Franklin-Lopez II
    Round 9: Jofre-Medel I
    Round 10: Castillo-Corrales
    Round 11: Eubank-Watson II
    Round 12: Gomez-Pintor
    Round 13: Olivares-Kanazawa II
    Round 14: Chacon-Limon IV
    Round 15: Edwards-Limon
