canelo would never take a short camp vs a live body. LOL

Billy Jane Saunders is not a true fighting man. Turns down the chance to fight the pound for pound number 1 and rainmaker in boxing! He obviously lacks the confidence in believing he can win. I am done with BJS.

I like seeing fighters stand up to Canelo. But this one is also a little strange.

Saunders saying 10 weeks isn't enough isn't a good look. He looked fat in the last interview so that might be why, but that's on him. It is interesting how he says Canelo's team will run him round with the media to drain his training time. It's always good to listen to the gypos in regards to opponent tactics because they're more astute to these schemes. But even with that, he mentioned still getting around 8 weeks or so. It's not like he's filling in on a couple of weeks notice (and that does happen in UFC).

Surely you have to take it on 8-10 weeks considering you almost missed out and you might not get the chance again. If it's the money, that's more understandable, but it sounded like it was the preparation time. That's about the best 'short prep' time you're ever gonna get in the sport. And he should know Canelo will happily screw him round for years, even start ageing him. I think he should have taken it.

Why be the guy that fights Canelo now, with no gate revenue, when all he has to do is stick around 6-12 months and take your slice of a full gate?

As per my previous post, no-one who doesn't have KO power (against a world class chin) is going into these fights expecting a win. There's a whole boxing establishment that's making money and don't want the gravy train off its tracks.

Makes sense to me, but then again at the rate things are currently going in the world who knows how it will be by then as far as venues and audience size.So it’s a gamble for sure.

    Definitely a gamble I agree.

People could lose interest, he could become less relevant. How long will he be prime for? He didn't look so sharp in his last outing and he balloons in between camps.

Maybe it also depends on his options if he doesn't fight Canelo. Is there a biggish rematch to do with Eubank JR? Andrade finally?

I guess they are both ****s. Saunders shouldn’t be ballooning between fights and Canelo should stop being such a vulture.

Would Canelo offer the fight if Saunders was in a tip top shape?

I find it interesting that only one of these two fights live opponents.

If thats a duck What was Canelo's excuse for turning down GGG's offer to fight in MSG with NO vegas, NSAC involvement.??? He said Vegas or no fight . WHY?? Because the juiced up freak has to have NSAC & Vegas backup to ensure he cannot lose. Even at this stage Canelo is afraid to offer GGG a fair crack of the whip. Canelo KNOWS he got his ass beat TWICE !! but Uncle Bob & his merry men made sure he got the " right decisions "

Saunders knew he was in line for a Canelo fight, but he decided to spend his time drinking, eating and snorting his way through lockdown.

Canelo knew that too thats why he offered it in Sin City of course where he only has to be standing at the final bell to not lose. Juiced up coward

The irony is Saunders most recently failed a PED test out of the two and voluntarily vacated his world title to avoid being stripped.
