Isn't Foreman obvious? Iran Barkley as well. Ali was rather merciless in the fights with Patterson and Terrell.
Terry Norris was a cheap shot artist. Punching a guy in the back of the head when he's down on all fours is a cheap shot. That wouldn't have been a legal shot if the guy was standing up. He hit Leonard when Ray was down. He hit Troy Waters when he was down. He did it all the time. Punching people when they can't defend themselves is someone showing no mercy. And hitting them with illegal shots while they can't defend themselves is even worse. Are we really going to argue what "merciless" means now?
Hearns, Coetzee, Shavers, Barrera, Chavez & Ruddock. Chavez really stands out to me... Because he was out to totally destroy his opponents. He would systematically break them down and his relentlessness would overwhelm almost all of them.
We could but you specialize in online squabbles and I have a gym to go to and fighters to teach. And they are almost exactly opposite.
I actually hung out with Joe Walker about 5 or so years ago. We were working out at the same gym. You could tell that he was a fighter, and he was still in really good condition physically. We started talking boxing, and he told me he had a victory over Terry Norris. I thought he was full of ****, but, didn't want to insult him as he seemed like a good guy. Turned out he was telling the truth (even if it he didn't truly beat Norris). I took him out for some beers.
just read a little about the incident he apparently beat a manslaughter charge over it as well thanks for sharing this information
