That only applies to Jones, and part of it was mental if you ask me. Ali had been working on his old man strategy as early as he turned pro. That's what enabled to him be the best Heavyweight of the 70s, post-exile and past his physical prime.

Pac had 2 primes. The 126 pound blitzing tornado from all angles with non stop head movement and power shots. And then the 2009 Pac with more patience, technique and ring IQ with still most of his athleticism, but not quite the same as it once was.

Which version was the best Pac the 2003/2004 typhoon? Or the controlled aggression from 2009? That's a debate that you could argue both cases easily.

I dunno seems when both past the 30 mark- their defenses was to lay on the ropes like dopes.

I expanded on my post. Both of their reflexes faded, that's true. My point was that All remained tremendously effective. Jones didn't.

You can be blessed with all the athleticism in the world but if you can't punch your way through cobwebs and you have the punch resistance of a toddler you're a disgrace to the sport of boxing as far as I'm concerned. If I sired a son who sported a below KO 40% and who was packing glass up top I'd not only disown them in a heartbeat but I'd also do everything in my power to ruin their life.

Most athletic 'punchers' possess speed power, whereas, conversely, real thudding KO power is generated from manliness.

Beterbiev epitomizes this. I too disown featherfists. I have no use for guys who can't bust a grape. My disdain for the feather hitters is well known. Chris Algieri used to draw my ire and I've made threads on his pathetic power. Same with Malignaggi, Bradley, etc. It goes against everything that I consider real boxing.

Exactly, Beterbiev is the poster boy for Manliness Power and that's why he has the respect of real fighting men across the world. Don't get me wrong, I think it takes courage to climb into a ring knowing that you couldn't wobble an old lady with your Sunday punch. That being said, I still have zero respect for them and consider them vermin.

Never seen anyone quite like RJJ in a boxing ring. Dude was next level as an athlete. Yeah, guys like SRL, SRR, Tyson, Mosley, etc were explosive as hell but RJJ looked like a tier above even them, at least to me.

Loma and Usyk yes but AJ? I think of him more as a workout warrior. Strength speed and size but lacking just about everywhere else
