 seriously...you repeat that waaay too much, "Fans said he would duck blah blah...." Really.. who gives a flytng **** what fans think about that stuff? Or who fans think ducked who. We're just fans...we don't add to any history other than viewing.

So being criticized for fighting older guys, he goes the complete opposite direction? I guess there were no opponents just IN THEIR PRIME? No, he needed to go after GBP's newest cash cow. Because that's what floyd targeted, low risk/high reward fighters.

I doubt they saw Floyd as ripe for the picking. Based on what? What ALL Parties saw was anopp to make $$$$$. Floyd saw it, GBP wanted to promote it. Not like Oscar was making the best choices then was he?

Floyd v canelo was a cash grab, since only a few expected Canelo to actually win. It was an attractive (On paper) fight that they rushed to make. IMO.

Because I was here Lance and that is what happened during that time. Don't get mad at me because you don't like facts and I bring them up. Btw who should pbf have fought instead of fighting canelo Lance? Khan?? Lmfao!!!! It was a fight people wanted to see it did huge numbers for a reason because canelo was seen as the next big star. Had it not happened people like you would have then said pbf ducked the next big star to fight chinny khan or something like that. He knew canelo would be too much for him at his age, he's a cherry picker.

You use the word 'facts' too freely. What "FACT" do you think I am mad about? Because some fans said he'd duck Canelo? SO ****ING WHAT! Fans say a fighter is ducking 2-3 fighters at the same time on this board. You STILL worry 10000% about what fans say. Fans OWN YOU. Just the way you let fans determine who you hate. Do you make choices on your own? Or do you wait for fans to tell you who to love/hate?

I KNOW people wanted the fight. No **** sherlock, two popular guys. Weird. Who Floyd should have taken instead? Bring up a list of who was all available

Lets face it...you are just a casual who loves highly popular fighters. You loved Floyd....and you jumped ship to Canelo. Are you going to be a fan of the next big name in boxing? Or Do they need to be undefeated to garner your love?

I had no big interest in that fight at the time. So ****ing what canelo was popular. EVERYTHING is about popularity with your fighters.

This is a boxing fan Lance most here are hard-core fans. So of course I'm going to bring up what people here were saying during that time because it shows their hypocrisy now. I like who I like but yes fans can most definitely make you dislike a fighter especially overzealous ones.

It's no different than any sport. I had no problem with lebron James until his fans came out of the wood work and proclaimed him the GOAT and better than Jordan kobe bird and others and being disrespectful while they were doing it. There's fighters out there that you don't like because of their fans if you say that it doesn't matter you're not being honest.

When in reality, most people would still pick Floyd to beat any 154 Canelo.

Pimp C, I cannot believe the excuses from these clowns claiming Canelo was only 23 years old, forgetting he was already a veteran professional of 8 years with 40 fights and the current World Champion at 154 poundS with quality wins on his record. This is proof enough that these guys don’t know what they are talking about. It boils down to one simple undiluted hatred of Mayweather. I had the pleasure of being ringside 16 months earlier before Mayweather and Canelo fought when Canelo fought as the chief support on the Mayweather vs Cotto Ring Kings card. What l witnessed that night was to watch a highly accomplished counter punching boxer puncher beat Shane Mosley with so much composure. Whilst I felt bad for Mosley I was telling my Mexican friends how impressed I was with Canelo that one day he could potentially rank alongside their greats like Sanchez and JCC Snr. Floyd at 36 years old taking Canelo to sleek school was not because Canelo was not good or great rather it just further underlined that Floyd is one of the select few amongst the very best to ever do this. If there is a Boxing Mount Rushmore Floyd would be carved in alongside Ali and SRR.

Pimp... you are as big a hypocrite as anyone here FFS.

Oh...so despite LeBron having NOTHING to do with what fans say, you decide to hate Lebrton. Jesus ****ing christs.....

How about this? If some fans say **** you don't like...ignore it? move on and live your life? Why you decide to employ HATE as a response is just a lack of mental toughness. That's just straight out dumb...

I would have. canelo might make it a little more interesting, but I doubt he'd get 5 rounds v Floyd

 I don't hate Canelo. What did I say that's HATING on him? Uhm...NOTHING?
I just don't like a few of his fans on THIS SITE. Like 3-4, that's it. This board IS NOT THE WORLD FFS.

I'm reading all these Whitaker picks. Pacquaio by far bet better opposition, and has a clear styles advantage here. If we are talking about a match at Welter at this best, I like Pacquaio to have Whitaker on the defensive and earn the decision.

Manny had a lot of speed and skills too, and the type of body attack to slow down Whitaker.

The skilled swarmer usually beats the skilled boxer, especially when the swarmer has a big edge on power.

Let me get this straight are you trying to say that pac is more skilled than pea? A guy who over the course if 4 fights couldn't figure out how to stop getting hit by jmms right hand? Lmfao!!! A guy who has never been known as a body puncher?? Jcc could cut off the ring and was a devastating body puncher much better at that than pac and he had little success at hitting pea to the body but pac will? I mean ffs do you even realize how skilled a prime pea was? We're taking pbf level of skill here not jmm or erik Morales. A prime pea whitaker would be the best boxer pac ever faced. He wouldn't be able to neutralize Pea's jab his ability to control range and distance the fight would slow down and he would get picked apart by a master. Pea is too complete for any version of pac and gets taken to slick school. You idiots need to go back and study pea whitaker he's getting horribly underrated now. Pea has the styles advantage here his jab and footwork alone will neutralize pacs one dimensional ambush style.

I don't see why "having Whitaker on the defensive" is a positive. He was better off the back foot than anyone.

And when did Pacquiao showcase this body attack you're talking about?

You really need to learn to read. Reading the posts you replied to (Above), he never said Pac was MORE SKILLED than Sweet Pea. Nor did he say Pac was an ATG body puncher.
So WHY do you do this? Why do you grossly exaggerate what posters are saying?
Now you will go tell others that posters here think Pac is as skilled as whitaker and an ATG body puncher...despite those never being said. You have either a reading problem, or you have trouble being honest here.
