Not a great time to split from your trainer. Highly unlikely that Whyte loses to Povetkin in Hearn’s back garden unless he gets knocked out so I doubt this news will have much bearing on the upcoming fight.
Povetkin looked sharp still against Hunter. Also with the whole pandemic shut down he has probably been on PEDs for a while. If the fight happens I fully expect to see an animalistic, brutal version of Povetkin looking to do a demolition job on Whyte early. Whyte has a tendency to gas out late so it’s going to be a dangerous fight every single round. Agreed that if it goes the distance it will either be a Whyte win or a draw. No chance Povetkin is getting a decision in what is literally Hearn’s backyard.
The question is are UKAD , WADA or VADA out in Portugal testing at the moment or are we going to see a fully juiced Whyte and a fully juiced Sasha could be some spectacle. He has a full team of strength and conditioning team out there to train but no head coach? Back to the point though why would you drop your trainer 6 weeks out from a fight? Seems a strange choice to me wonder who he is going to bring in? Dean Whyte????
Get ready for the usual " it was mutual, we are still friends BS " real reason will come out later, it always does .
This is gonna be a bad move on Whytes part Forget the glamour names being mentioned, its about getting a trainer than suits him and also knows the HW game Not as easy as it seems
Like a lot here, plain and simple don’t get it ! bad move for dill. Be interested to see who he gets in but very far from ideal. Made the Povetkin fight even more 50/50
Wow didnt see that coming. Bad move. Chosing Portugal with your mates / yes men over a trainer who has done so much for you? I'll be sticking a few quid on Povetkin
I expect Povetkin to give a vintage performance blansting through Whyte and will destroy Wilder next as is his destiny then on to Fury...
I think he was shown up a bit on the trainer talk video on YouTube not long ago when Moore, Davison, Coldwell etc seemed to have more knowledge and Mark didn't seem to understand the concept of timing. Whyte saw this
Tibbs has probably forgotten more about boxing than Coldwell and Davison know. Tibbs was a better boxer than Coldwell and he’s had years of experience learning from his father.
