Meanwhile Fitz knocks **** out of his bird another woman and some other fella, but that's sound cos he's not scouse and "nice one Tony lad". Just funny people's double standards on things
Fitz is a wrong un, end of Anyone defending him is biased imo Both him and Fowler are both unlikeable both for vastly different reasons
Of course mate people are free to find someone unlikeable, just imo it's bit over the top bout fowler
I think Jordan Reynolds will be the next Anthony Fowler. Reynolds really begs for fame and is active on social media
All Scouse fighters seem to be hated - The Smith Brothers, Bellew, Fowler, Derry matthews, Price etc ,. I'm noticing a lot of anti-liverpool **** with british boxing fans.
Not all of the Smith brothers are hated. Just the ones that are unjustifiably up their own arse. Bellew is hated because...well it should be sefl explanatory. Fowler is a dickhead. Is Price particularly hated? He's derided as a boxer but I don't see him getting too much of a hard time personality wise. Perhaps a bit resented as he gets a lot of opportunities that he doesn't necessarily deserve
If anything i think Price gets a lot of sympathy from boxing fans because if the **** he has had (Losses to PED heads). Can honestly say ive not seen a bad word (regarding their character) about Liam, Stephen or Callum.
Price only received hate from Scousers that gave his kids grief for their dad getting knocked out on television by a former World Champion after stunning him moments earlier.
Callum Smith is getting a hell of a lot of hate since the Ryder fight. He wasn't to blame for the judges corruption. . He's a nice quiet guy, who is very talented and successful, a world champion probably the number 1 super middle in the world. who had one sub par performance. I don't understand how their can be soo much hate towards him. People talk **** about the Smiths all the time, but they are the most succesful British boxing brothers ever, it's mental how all a family can have 4 brothers all get to a good level and 2 of the 4 be world champions. It'd be nice to hear positive comments about that for a change.
So i guess this is down to you define hate. The only thing i have seen about Smith is people (rightly so) questioning the result of the Ryder fight, wondering if he has outgrown SMW or questioning his inactivity. Admittedly i think it is too premature too say he has outgrown SMW as its just as likely he thought he could walk through Ryder but these questions will be there until he fights a decent level opposition next and shows wether it was a blip or a warning sign. As for the Smiths as a whole, i can honestly say with the exception of Paul i have never heard any criticism of their character or of a personal nature. Honestly with Paul it was a case he was given opportunities that In reality he didnt deserve. He vacated rather than fight Fielding which was a fight alot of fans wanted to see under the belief that Fielding was beneath him when Pauls best win was against Tony Dodson or Quigley. Plus the fact he cant handle any of the criticism that comes with being a pro athlete without seeing it as a personal affront. That said again he was largely complimented when he fought Abraham first time and out performed himself, with a lot of people actually thinking he won. Basically what im saying is by far and large the criticism for a lot of these boxer isnt hate in the conventional sense as its not personal and more about their performances.
In Callum’s case I think that’s more to do with him being trained by Gallagher, who is an absolute tool. Stephen Smith doesn’t get any hate, nor should he. Liam certainly has. Paul Smith deserves every ounce of it he gets, thoroughly awful bloke.
For me, it was when he was an amateur, he was touted as a future champion, there was quite a lot of hype around him. Anyway, when he got beat, it was always a "robbery". He was arrogant as an amateur and carried it in to the pros. Don't misunderstand me, fighters need to believe in themselves but there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and Fowler has crossed the line many times. He just isn't what he thinks he is, instead of just getting his head down and working hard, moving forward, he mouths off and makes all sorts of ridiculous claims. Fowler was beaten by Fitzgerald, had to go the distance with an old and worn Brian Rose, had a ridiculous "fight" with an ice skater and after Eddie said "No easy fights when we return".. Fowler gets Adam Harper 9-1, 0 wins by KO. Harper hasn't fought since 2018, if this isn't an easy comeback then I don't want to see one. Hearn should be embarrassed with this one, but Fowler will get a stoppage win, Hearn will big him up, talk Fitzgerald again even though Fitzgerald doesn't sound like he is any condition to fight and they go on to the next soft touch. Fowler is a good domestic fighter, maybe could pick up a European title at his best, depending who he fights.. but he nowhere near world champion level material in my opinion and Hearn, Sky and a few others need to o stop pretending he is.
