Ali was faster and the better mover. I'll give Joe the benefit of the doubt and say he makes the final bell.
Ali was flashier and faster, but Louis could really swat. I think it comes down to who can take who's jab away from the other. If Louis manages to dictate the action with his jab, he'd probably catch up to Ali sooner or later. On the other hand if Ali can reset Louis consistently, he'd have a good chance of flummoxing the more static footed fighter. If Louis can make it a shootout, I think he wins.
My bad. I had Frazier on my mind after watching some highlights of him last week. Even still I think ali beats a prime Louis
And Ali wouldn't beat Frazier 8 out of 10. FOTC Frazier beats any Ali. As for this matchup, it's a horrible style for Louis. Louis' methodical feet mean he'll be plodding after Ali, looking for those big shots. Thing is, Ali will be scoring with his rapier-like jab, and his stinging right hands. Ali has one of the greatest chins ever, Louis ain't KOing him, and so loses a decision.
I feel that he would frazier beat an overconfident ali. Had they been able to fight each back then pre ban ali, 10 times im a row ali wins atleast 8 imo.
Ali dances around him all night and makes Louis look like an amateur, he’s too durable to get knocked out by Louis and much too quick with his hands and his feet for Louis to win on points and I don’t even like Ali
Ali takes it clearly on the cards. Controls the distance and action with his movement and outboxes Louis from long range the majority of the fight.
