That I agree on. Vitali made the most of his limited skill-set with an immense work ethic .He beats Bowe 10 x 10 for dedication and commitment. Bowe's rapid demise was a result of not dedicating himself to the sport. If he had Vitali's mindset he would have been unstoppable.
But longevity doesn't factor into fantasy fights. You only put forward a guy based on his best performance , not an amalgamation of that guy over a long period of time. On Bowe's best night he was better than the best Holyfiled that ever entered the ring , a guy who was better than Vitali in every department of boxing

You tapped out of the debate like you always do when the hard questions get asked , so you just say these things without being able to back them up. . . You lost two debates here by quitting.

Just like Golota, right? Bowe was not good on defense and his chin was dentable vs punchers above Holyfields level. Vitali would score too easily. Keep trying. You might have a better case with the fighters who bet Holyfield than Holyfield himself

Side note of interest. I stood next to Holyfield at the wax museum of Las Vegas. . Holyfield is NOT 6'2. I know this because I am and had about an inch on him. More like 6'1" Ali on the other had, he was a big man. Measurements and such were taken from the living to make them as authentic as possible.

Off the juice, Holyfield has skinny legs, a small chest, biceps, ect.... he did a Barry Bonds transformation. Judge for yourself. Copy and past the link unless you can show it here. In fact this picture is worth a thread by itself.

Dino, many posters own you in debate, myself included. Many laugh at your points. We all know you can post reply to the point of boredom. Try answering some of my questions or points if possible. At best you have Teddy Atlas syndrome when it comes to hating fighters. The difference is Teddy, once you take out the names of fighters can have relevant points on boxing.

This type of posting is what your good at. . In tough debates you either go on the offensive or run away. . Its like pulling teeth to get you to stay on topic.
You couldn't disprove that Vitali passed his rematch clause on Byrd over to Wlad and you couldn't prove Peter was in his prime when he fought Vitali. You lost both debates .

Dude, debate ANY of the point I made in this tread. Go for it! I told you Vitali was inactive and recovering from surgery when Wlad beat Byrd. Show me this re-match clause. 4th time asking....

Peter was ranked #2 in the world, behind only Wlad when Vitali beat him badly. Far from shot, you picked Peter to win, so I question your judgment then. Now you conveniently say he was shot? LOL

Vitali still outjabbed Lewis and pretty much everyone he faced for that matter. Bowe dispensed with the jab and looked to fight inside. Vitali controlled range with his lead foot and jab. That makes him a better outboxer and the more difficult outboxing challenge from a smaller man.

Stop repeating yourself. . This question was already answered. Only 4 weeks separated Wlad vs Byrd and Vitali vs Hoffman. Vitali fought Hoffman INSTEAD of Byrd.. Why didn't you respond after the video of Byrd saying he was ordered to fight Wlad ?? No , you went running and you're back pretending it was never posted.. Utterly pathetic.

Irrelevant. .. Wlad was the Champion of the division when he fought Fury. You have dozens and dozens of posts belittling that win by claiming Wlad was past it.

Posting ranking as proof of prime further exposes your inability to debate boxing. How about explain how and why Peter was still prime?? You can't , because you know sweet f-all about the technical side of boxing.. Like , literally nothing. This is why you spam the same stat related posts over and over again.
Tell me how Peters performed in that fight to prove he was still prime?? I already explained he clearly was NOT prime.. Waiting on an answer.

you backed out of the previous debate regarding Vitali’s best wins. You lost that one.As for this new point, you can believe that a prime Bowe is quite a different proposition than a past prime Lewis.stylistically this would be worse for VITALI as Bowe is the much superior infighter

How can you say he out-jabbed Lewis when the purpose of his jab was to keep Lewis form getting inside? Lewis walked in like a mummy and at one stage buckled Vitali knees with a jab of his own.

Vitali hand picked the same style of fighter throughout his career. Mostly all the guys he fought were his bread and butter and designed to make him look good. There's nobody on his resume to prove he could fend off a guy like Holyfield with a jab.

Fighters reach and pass their prime at different ages and stages of their career.

I mean, a 37 year old faded, unmotivated, undertrained, under the weather Lennox Lewis brutalized Vitali.....

You mean Lewis, who was a very good fighter in his mid 30's and showed it by KOing Rahman just 1.5 years ago, and was prepping to fight Kirk Johnson, suddenly went old? No-no, he was in training. Vitali took the match on 2 weeks notice, and got it because Lewis signed to meet him via Lion productions. Vitali made Lewis look bad, no one was saying Lewis was shot prior to this fight.

Vitali who was Lewis best win, was unlike anyone he had fought. He was taller and by HBO's measurement of reach, had a longer arm.

Lewis was down 4-2 on all three cards, also cut ( Just not in the eye region ) and swollen up, was spared the 7th round by a doctors stoppage on cuts. Being down 4-2 on all three cards means Lewis would need to win 4 of the next 6 rounds on 2 of the cards to produce a draw.

Lewis crashed down hard on his stool. Even Max Kellerman, who was anything but a Klitschko fan that time said he never saw Lewis so tired.

Lewis said he would give a rem-match. He lied and tried to make other matches during the process vs Kirk Johnson and Roy Jones. Then the WBC ordered the r-match. Lewis had to put up or shut up. The money was there. Lewis quickly retired.

    Back to the thread...
