His first loss was to a lightweight..... Yes Floyd it was.... A lightweight that would've pummeled your ass if he had been around in your era...

Get a grip Floyd .. You were a great fighter... There were many better

He should be grateful that his name gets mentioned in the same sentence as Sugar Ray Leonard.

The spoilt brat ain’t worthy of lacing Rays boots up

Ray’s win over Hearns >>>> Anything that Floyd did @ 147

Leonard didn’t wait for fighters to be past their best before facing them.

Come out of retirement and beat GGG, like Ray Leonard did with Hagler.

Floyd Mayweather jr complaining about things!?!? In a one dimensional manner that paints him in a good light and someone else below him!?!? Ya don’t say? /Sarcasm.

Floyd may believe his own B.S. or he may not and just pretends he does to keep making money and keep his name relevant since his last abortion of boxing when he fought Connor. Who knows. I disagree however.

“By the time he was 25, Leonard had fought Roberto Durán twice, Tommy Hearns and Wilfried Benítez. Later he won titles from welterweight to light-heavyweight and, for good measure, beat* Marvin Hagler in a fight for the ages.”

“Has Mayweather sought out such trials by fire? Hardly. He waited six years so that he could face a much less supersonic version of the Pacquiao who tore through Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. Meanwhile, the Oscar de la Hoya Mayweather defeated had lost two of his previous four contests (and one of the wins, against Felix Sturm, was widely disputed). And Cotto and Shane Mosley were also past their peaks when – after years of trying – they finally stepped into the ring with Mayweather. He is a classy fighter, sure. But he is a clever matchmaker, too.”

*He lost to Hagler don’t even @me.

    Spot on.

Floyd is his own biggest fan. Always has been and always will be.

The amount of L's he would have picked up in the 70's & 80's would have been double digits.

You seem to have forgotten that Floyd and JLC had a rematch. Or are we once again ignoring that?

IMO, it´s pointless to even talk about fighters from different eras matching up. No one seems to do a proper break down as to why one would win, they just get really emotional.

But Floyd lost to JLC! Yeah, and Duran got dominated by Leonard in the rematch.
But Duran wasn´t properly prepared! Yup, and Floyd was injured.

Floyd couldn't have handled Aaron Pryor at 140, much less Leonard at 147

The Leonard/Duran rematch wasn't much of a domination. Leonard was up by 1 and 2 points on the judge's cards. Not because Duran was fighting well, either. Leonard just wasn't doing much in the way of effective offense.

    I haven't forgot, I'm just stating a fact.

There's a world of difference struggling with SRL compared to JLC!

Ray is too fast, hits too hard, too big and beat better opposition at 147 than Floyd ever did.
