If Larry Holmes, Tim Witherspoon, and Greg Page were taking this survey... well, that's as good an answer as any I suppose.

I don’t pay much attention to the HOF, in any sport...to much politics, to many in who shouldn’t be to many not in who warrant consideration. But the impact King had on the sport is fairly obvious and HOF worthy even though I don’t particularly care for him.

The only difference between Don King and Bob Arum .... is how the media portrays them

Hes a controversial figure but as a boxing fan i cant forget that he put together some of the most stacked cards in boxing history and he was a key figure in some of the biggest fights and events in modern day boxing and at one point he was as recognizable as most boxers.

Yes apparently he killed someone and he was a crook but theres guys in there who have done the same or worse.

I would say yes to him being enshrined in HOF.

Of course King's IBHOF membership is well deserved (as is Duff's, by the way).

I don't think that it can get anymore amusing than the induction of Rocky Balboa.

I personally have always felt that the HOF should be for fighters and not refs, commentators, announcers, trainers, promotors, beer vendors or ticket agents...

If we look at who is getting in why not- King was a gangster - hustler and pimp but he was good at it. Boxing is a dirty game.
Does anyone really think DelaHoya or Hopkins don't get the judges paid or the Alpha - Belt organizations $$$$
Politics- Boxing politics or Organized Crime- different levels of criminal actions but all dirty business

Don is a great patriot and an even greater and more famous promoter. The most famous promoter in history and some of the best people that I know have said he's already basically in all of the halls of fame.
