I’m not a Manny fan. I also think that Floyd would have beaten him prime for prime. In 2012, Manny publicly agreed to everything. All random testing, even up to the day of the fight. And according to Floyd, the testing issue was the reason that an earlier fight didn’t materialise. He repeatedly said that in every interview for a number of years. Yet when Manny agreed to everything, neither Floyd or Ellerbe even tried to start negotiations to make the fight. You don’t think that was odd? The only stumbling block had been removed. Yet nothing. That speaks volumes. Manny then backed up his 2012 claims by doing OSDT with Rios in 2013. Yet the fight still didn’t happen for a further 18 months. Open your eyes.
It’s comical that people think that Floyd made the fight at a basketball game. It was set up WWE style. Do these guys really think that it wouldn’t have happened had they not both have been in attendance? Ha!
Mayweather always makes adjustments and then executes. I see Pac giving Mayweather problems at first and then Mayweather making that adjustment and then winning.
I can't even count how many times both sides took turns in the PR war. HBO, Showtime, Top Rank, Al Haymon and Mayweather promotions were all in on marinating the fight. All sides played a part in this fight been delayed. Manny and Floyd shouldered the blame, but the guys working behind the scenes had more to do with it than either fighter.
I would put my money on Floyd ud as well but Pacquiao in 2009/2010 was a legit threat that Floyd avoided like the plague. "Im a rich coward" his exact words. This fight not happening then will always be up there with the likes of leinard vs Hagler 82, lennox vs bowe, tyson vs holyfield 91, marquez vs morales etc.
Never at any point in Pac's career would he beat Floyd. Can't ko him and definitely can't out-box him.
