Good crossroads matchup.

Keith Thurman Tells Kell Brook To Send Contract; Eager For UK Fight
By Manouk Akopyan

Published On Thu Jul 16, 2020, 08:23 AM EST

Keith Thurman is plotting his plan to return to boxing after nearly a one-year layoff.

The American fighter said he is looking forward to a fight outside of domestic soil if there is a real deal for him.

“Kell Brook is a great rival, and he’s done a lot of great things in the welterweight division,” Thurman PepTalkUK. “Send me the pounds, mate. Send me the pounds … I’m all about contracts and all about opportunities.

“[Brook is] not that active right now. I don’t know where his name stands now. But personally, there was a time and a place where I would have loved to take that fight. If there’s a real opportunity, show it to me, baby.”

Brook is damaged goods, unfortunately. Thurman, as inactive as he is, is still closer to his best days. Would have loved to see them square off at their peaks.

 Wtf is Brook doing?
I still remember his fight vs Rabchanka being his comeback. That was over 2 years ago.
His win over Mark DeLuca was a good one, but still! Wtf?

And Thurman with another year long layoff  FFS!

Brook should never fight below 154lbs, he kills himself every time he fights at 147lbs. His performances are very inconsistent at 147lbs. If the fight is at 154lbs I think Brook has a great chance to win the fight.

Two old crocks who never lived up to their potential prior to getting injured.

If the fight is at 154 it's interesting.

Thurman was inactive for 2 years before Pacquiao beat him. Now he has not fought anybody for almost a year so both fighters have been inactive. It's not gonna be an easy fight for either fighters.

It takes a special breed of fighter to overcome being Manny'd or Good Boy'd by a prime GGG. That's usually a death sentence for a fighter's career and even if they subsequently manage to string together a few decent wins afterwards they'll never come close to being the fighter they were beforehand

Even going to war with this way past it shot GGG is seriously bad for your health and a potential final nail in the coffin of your career. I said at the time that Derevyanchenko might not ever be the same again after GGG's anvil fists pounded his visage into a swollen mess and even Clenelo struggled mightily against a post-GGG Danny Jacobs and a shot to smithereens Kovalev after going to war with shot GGG. I won't be in the least bit surprised if he struggles mightily against Juan Ryder next time out too assuming that he doesn't pull the duck like he did against a prime GGG

There's only a certain amount of hits a fighter's brain dome can withstand from Manny's Asian Chi-Force Bruce Lee Shocking Power and GGG's Russian Bear Korean Nuclear Holocaust Power. You leave a piece off your soul and your life force after being subjected to that kind of brain abuse from punchers like that. David ''El Bandera Roja'' Benavidez has sparred many of the world's top LHWs and he will still tell you to this day that no one has ever hit him harder than GGG

This content is protected

And if you think Brook would be losing to the likes of Spence prior to GGG breaking his face and harvesting his soul I have a plot of land to sell you on Venus

And the list of fighters Manny has ruined is extensive

Floyd - was literally getting schooled for four rounds post Manny by a MMA fighter who was making their pro boxing debut

Algieri - never the same after Manny bounced him up and down off the canvas about 300 times. He ended up getting KTFO by a featherfist in Spence for goodness sake!

Horn was damaged goods too and he got stopped by Crawford

Same goes for JMM who was whooped by Manny's 3 x surrogate son Timachenko

Speaking of whom. Manny beat Timachenko into retirement too

Manny ruined Mosely too who ended up losing to Clenelo of all people in his very next fight

And Manny ruined Margarito and Rios and I strongly suspect One Time is damaged goods now too after going 12 rounds against Manny.

I've no qualms with this. KT had a decent run prior to Pac (Exception being the time off). Would prefer Thurman to face a more relevant boxer though.

Doubt it happens, Brook has been planning on fighting again for about 2 years now and has done nothing apart from chase the khan fight
