They both showed they were vulnerable, but who would win if the fight would take place now?

Joshua. He's more skilled. And he actually proved himself against top fighters.

I would still pick Wilder. Joshua isn't going to wade through the wilder minefield with balls like fury did. I see Joshua trying to fight on his backfoot and getting caught leaning back or retreating

Probably Joshua. I struggle to see how Wilder can recover from his beating by Fury.
Both are obviously vulnerable to pressure, and taking a punch though.
If you factor in that Wilder is much older and entering his twilight years, has to be AJ for me.
Would be entertaining while it lasted though, a fight I’d look forward to more than Fury v Wilder lll.

Joshua was beaten down by a much lesser fighter. Joshua quit and Wilder did not.

    Joshua.
Wilder probably had a good puncher's chance before Fury, but I imagine the beating Fury put on him broke his mentality. Joshua has shown he can adapt and stick to a strategy. Wilder has not. Fury showed how to take the fight to Wilder. Joshua may not be as versatile as Fury, but he has the tools to do the same. Joshua is a good close range fighter. He's got power in both hands (more than Fury). Deyonte will fold because he has no skill to fall back on. He's not going to suddenly learn to box, he's not going to win on the inside. All he's got is that right hand, and AJ has enough skill to avoid it long enough to stop Wilder.

If Fury can just walk through Wilder the way he did, then there's no reason Joshua can't do the same and probably with much more devastating effect.

Wilder has a punchers chance that's about it, but considering AJ has been down and shaken more than once, I'm gonna say AJ beats him 4 out of 5 times.

I just don’t rate Wilder, sorry. I just take AJ to win on the reasons I’ve given. Joshua isn’t great but l reckon Wilder is shot. Too many easy fights, and he’s too old now to compete at the higher level.

Joshua doesn’t regularly get out boxed by d level opponents, every wilder fight is the same, wilder throws sloppy punches making himself off balance the whole time and then he gets the knockout just because his opposition is terrible. Most of the time that doesn’t work against elite fighters who are actually there to win and not just some fat guy there for a paycheck (all of wilders opponents). Joshua by ko, there’s a reason why wilder was ducking him

Basically, this. This HW era is worse than ever and Wilder cherrypicked a bunch of bums to smash. AJ is good enough technically to give Wilder fits and strong enough to blast him out as well. Sure, Wilder has a puncher'\s chance, but look at how well AJ slipped Wlad's leaping left hook. I'm guessing he'll do the same to Wilder's telegraphed right hand as well.

Joshua 's too basic and orthodox for Deontay. Less skilled and shorter than Fury. He'll get caught like the Ruiz fight, and brutally stopped.

Of course Joshua better but at this point i believe if they ever throw down Wilder will pull it off against Joshua.

Your selling wilders positive traits very short here. He's very powerful his right hand is very fast/quick and he sets up shots well. Also gets in and out of range and can actually evade punches when admittedly doesn't transition from offense to defense well but He's a dangerous opponent for anyone. I'm not going to get into the duck discussion as I don't believe a real one can be had

Of course wilder is dangerous I can’t think of any current heavyweight that hits harder than him, but I really think people just confuse his physical gifts with skill (big difference), and I think there can be a solid argument made about wilder ducking AJ

Wilder is fresh out of a full autopsy. He's diagnosed with a dented skull.

Based on that I'd say AJ via first round KO.

Whether it's physical traits or skill if it's to your benefit while punching someone in the face it really doesn't matter. But Wilder is definitely clever about how he sets up his shots. You don't get clean 1 punch knockouts consistently like that by just throwing wild flailing punches. When he's not throwing he's good at getting out harms way and he has the balls to go to war. I think this is a 50/50 fight no matter how much more skilled Joshua is he just plainly is lacking hugely in the less tangible attributes that I do think make a difference especially in the heavyweight division
