Quite aggressively from what I can tell.

He seems to have concluded that it was a bad idea to give Greb room to work with.

Dempsey struggled with the more skilled boxers he faced. And Greb maybe has a chance to outwork Toney but Toney would make them all look terrible, missing constantly.

His strategy supposedly was to attack the body a lot, because Greb's head was almost impossible to catch with solid punch.

They have polar opposite defensive styles, both defensive, but use it in different ways, Tunney was more on his bike and used his feet and stick and move, whereas Toney didn’t move around, he either lay on the ropes and countered, but he stayed there because he was not fearful of what the opponent could do, he just thought counter all the time, he would use defence to start his offence and didn’t use movement, Tunney a lot of the time used offence to set up defence and did use his feet, he’d jab then move his feet away so his opponent could not hit him, also Toney was good on the inside and liked to counter on the inside, Tunney never fought on the inside

Tunney wasn't slick and wasn't really a mover. Watch him vs Carpentier and Heeney. Even vs Gibbons he's circling around only occasionally, most of the time it's moving in or out, one or two steps forward, or one or two steps back, depending whether he's attacking or defending.

He seems to be moving pretty well here in Rez's footage.

If I knew how to edit videos, I could put together a clip of Primo Carnera showing pretty good skills, that wouldn't mean anything. I wouldn't classify Gene Tunney as a mover based on everything I've seen and read about him, outside of the Dempsey bouts he was a lot more straightforward two-handed boxer, rather aggressive, the majority of time staying at mid or close range.

I think he was an excellent fleet footed mover.
