Did GGG struggle vs Canelo because he was past his prime or was Canelo just the best guy he faced

Regardless of the motive, the damage is done, just like Ward vs Kovalev one.

And in the eyes of most, he passed both tests. Just not in terminator fashion.

Because terminator only appears against carefully selected bums.

Derevyanchenko, Alvarez, Jacobs and Golovkin at middleweight are just not that far apart, even though Golovkin is the strongest of them, Alvarez is the most accomplished and diverse. They are not on different H2H tiers at this weight. IMO, Saunders is right there on his motivated nights.

Why don't you both just meet up in the street somewhere? You both post ridiculous things hoping the other replies back. Its a little silly if you ask me. I like GGG and think he won both fights, but I also can admit that Canelo is a damn good fighter and not upset that he got the victory in the 2nd fight. Why must you act like children and not totally ignore that both are good fighters??

Cool, do you want to be the referee? Lmfao calm down it's nothing personal, more than half of the forum is like that, I don't always reply to him because it's the same copy paste every day lol it's all fun and games for me.

He beat him twice and was robbed twice, and this is against one of the top P4P fighters in the world, at his advanced age. Which means..... he didn't actually struggle.

Who are you kidding? He wasn't at an advanced age. When GGG fought Canelo, he was about the same age as Froch was when he beat Groves. Hopkins was in his mid-40s when he beat Jean Pascal.

He struggled mightily. I tried to extend an olive branch and say it was a little of both, because it was. GGG was no spring chicken, but he hadn't slowed down much from his prime. Canelo literally beat the prime out of GGG. GGG was never as versatile as Canelo, even in his so-called prime. There may well be scenarios where GGG could beat Canelo, maybe on Canelo's worst day and GGG's best day. But the two matches proved who's better : Canelo. GGG got a gift with that draw in the first match and GGG got the beating of his life in the rematch. For you to say he didn't actually struggle because he was an advanced age, this shows you still haven't come to terms with what happened.

No, that meant you're a jackass. And I don't give a **** about your avatar, if anything it means you're a pathetic mentally defective loser who is way too obsessed with Gennady Golovkin for your own good.

I thought it would help you see the light, to remind you of the kind of bombs Canelo landed on GGG. It sounds like you're pretty obsessed with GGG if you're going out of your way to make excuses for him claiming he was at an advanced age, or that he didn't struggle vs Canelo. He obviously did. Even if you want to argue GGG won, he definitely struggled. His breathing was labored throughout both matches.

Rewatched the fights recently, GGG won both times 9-3. Watched on DVD on a good sized tv, on mute, paused and replayed in slow motion when needed. GGG out classed Canelo twice, first walking Canelo down ,and in the second fight he out boxed him in the middle of the ring. Case closed.
