Yes. Wallin landed left hook easily. If Whyte comes in shape (that'sa big if) his left hook is a KO punch.
Anyone with power can get lucky but it’s highly unlikely. Tyson is above him in all areas and only behind in power.
Whatever prime Whyte had is now over. He's not beating anybody that he cannot simply walk through and knock out.
Probably not. But if Fury slept on Whyte and wasn’t on his toes and managed to caught with a counter left hook similar to Chisora he may not beat the count.
You don't put the lights out of the likes of Chisora because you're pillow fisted and I get that Lucas Brown was out of shape but again, his reaction to the left hook was as if he'd been shot. The punch that decked Parker barely traveled any distance, wasn't wound up to any large extent and still dropped someone who had never even been wobbled. Not even Wilders right hand has managed that except for perhaps Szpilka who has a chin made of cream cheese. Onto the subject at hand, I'd give Whyte a 1 in 10 chance as Fury seems to have a plaster for every sore, but if Whyte connects and hurts Fury it could get interesting as I doubt Whyte will fear what's coming at him and he does time and disguise that left hook counter very well at times.
Whyte doesn't have the boxing ability or any outstanding physical qualities to beat Fury. His whole game is predicated on controlling fighters with his jab, softening up their body then going upstairs with the big left hook. It's a pretty winning combination against most of the division, but against Fury he'd be outjabbed, tied up when he tried to get close and made to miss big when he tried to attack at range. He'd beat the crap out of that fraud Wilder though. Probably worse than Fury did because he'd prolong the punishment.
I didn't say he was pillow-fisted. Don't get it twisted. He has very good power, and that is a very useful, practical punch. But the big knockouts just aren't there. It took him almost two fights to knockout Chisora. He certainly does not have power like David Haye has power.
Of course he could, if Fury had a moment of dire carelessness*...but he in all likelihood would mind his p's and q's and cleanly outbox Whyte. (in fact a surging Whyte hook is probably more difficult a shot to anticipate than a rather predictable and by-numbers Wilder right hand, even if Deontay has more raw power than Dillian)
Fury isn't unbeatable by any means, but I don't think Whyte would have a good chance -- bad style matchup for Whyte. Whyte is just too slow and would be at quite the reach disadvantage. Although that kind of assumes Fury would use the outside style he's classically used. If he uses his new, go forward, inside style, I don't know if that would be as suitable against Whyte. I hope Fury picks the proper style for each opponent instead of just always using his new-ish inside style in future fights.
