I don't put much stock into the ratings but I love it for what it is. It's a good way to get a bit of background on fighters you know nothing about, and find potential matches to watch as a bit of homework before a weekend of fights.
I think it's an invaluable resource for finding out information about fighter's records, both amateur and pro now albeit the former is a more recent addition and is still a work in progress, and their history. However, I lost a lot of respect for them when the owners flat-out refused to include my official Most Handsome Boxers P4P rankings on their site.
People are lucky to have it. I think I mentioned this on another thread but there used to be more records sites. And nearly all charged a fee. If Boxrec decided to charge people $5 a month for access, they probably could. They are offering a free service to fans of a very niche sport. Tread softly with the complaints. Don't take it for granted.
