    Weeks was so eager to stop that for some reason. When Velez got up, he says to him “I’ll give you a chance” like he was getting beaten post to post.

    great finish by valdez close fight rough performance looked underwhelming but he took care of business. he hurt velez in the previous round and finished the job

    I’m so annoyed at myself for not betting more on Valdez when he was -200 live. What a friggin gift that was. I would like to see what the cards were tho. I’m sure he was up comfortably.

    I live Valdez determination and desire in this fight. Seems like Velez nonchalant style doesn't translate to wins in big fights. You need that aggressivo attitude!

    ..with thirty seconds left, absolutely. Had there been a continuation by Weeks, there's a good chance that Valdez would have flurried out the clock in vain (with just half a minute left, a few seconds of which gets presumably burned off by Weeks forcing each man to step back for a neutral restart) and Valdez would have clung to his never-halted streak.
