Matt Korobov fought the likes of GGG, Derevyanchenko, Danny Jacobs, Badou Jack, Oleksandr Usyk and Sergey Kovalev in the amateurs. It's actually an exceptional résumé.

Beterbeiv beat Gvozdyk, Kovalev and Usyk (among others, I'm sure). GGG fought Bute, Korobov, Dirrell and Lee.

Eddie turned pro in the fall of 1972 and was still somewhere in the middle (and now super middle) range into 1976. Beat Cyclone Hart by decision and dropped a split verdict to Bennie Briscoe.

By 1977 he was a full-blown light heavy and beat Matthew Saad Muhammad that year.

I think his frame was too big to make 160 any longer and there wasn’t a 168 where he could stop over, and he was definitely a true 175 most of his career, but he was obviously viable as a middleweight as long as he was able to stay in that division.

Vito turned pro in 1971 and was a career middleweight, so there was certainly a window of several years where they were in the same weight class and experience range where it could have happened.

In one of Phillips fights on ESPN against Jesse Feliciano (pretty good fight) they listed Vinces wins over Tapia and Bowe in the ams as curious facts about him so going by them it happened. how ?i have no clue.

    Shawn Porter beat Demetrius Andrade.

    Demetrius Andrade beat Danny Jacobs.

Danny Jacobs beat Shawn Porter (six times), and Porter beat him (once).
