We'll see, but they better not put him under too much pressue too early, we've seen quite a few failing due to too high expectations.

Now the other kid you should follow is Frankie Gomez who beat Benavidez in the nationals, same age but he's still and amateur, he actually picked up a silver medal at the World Amateur Championships last year.

Yeah Frankie Gomez is tough I think he will be a great fighter at 140.
Jose is really getting hyped up. There are some of his amateur fights on youtube and he looks good for a young fighter. He is very tall for his weight and he will probably grow another inch or two. He has a really good left hand and knows how to fight from the outside. Hopefully he can withstand all the hype thats being put out right now.

    LOL!!!

All the hype of Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Haney etc. Has reminded of when people and so called boxing 'experts' were certain Jose Benavidez, Frankie Gomez and Erickson Lubin were gonna be superstars :lol::lol::lol:

Lubin is 24, a top 10 (top 5?) ranked 154ls'er and has one loss, to a guy who is the #1 in the division, who he fought when he was 21

This isn't one of the worst predictions I've seen here. Damn, I myself made worse as I once predicted that Proksa would lead the charge in the 160 division after he spanked former beltholder Silvester. I believe my quote was something like "Super G >>> Triple G" :ohno

I think my worst call was Antoine Douglas.
Thought he was the next big hype train at 160.

The guy Spike O Sullivan beat up.

Another one who didn't live up to it as a pro. Class act as an Amateur as well.
