Prime Rigo would have dominated present day Inoue

Just watched the Rigo-Donaire fight from 7 years back. My god what a performance that was by Rigo that night. Now I know triangle theory doesnt always work but Rigo made much lighter work of a closer to prime Donaire than Inoue did. Even dominated the round in which he was knocked down in.

It actually draws parrallels to the Fury and AJ fights with Klitschko. Fury dominates an 11 year undefeated champion in Klitschko in a “boring” fight that he won with ease. Joshua then goes and beats Klitschko in a much more entertaining fight but with a clearly more shop worn Klitschko that he went life and death with. Very similair to Rigo and Donaire.

So in conclusion Rigo batters the Monster.

Dominated? Probably not. Slightly outpointed the 118 pounder in his 3rd weightclass? Probably yes.

Which fight did Fury dominate Klitschko in exactly?! I saw one "fight" and that was one of the dullest HW championship fights in history, with one guy doing hardly anything and another only slightly more up until the 12th round.

You really can't take anything from the Inoue-Donaire fight aside from Inoue packing granite in his chin and having steel balls. He had his orbital bone broken in the 2nd round and had double vision for the rest of the fight.

    Inoue KOs Rigondeaux.

I know. But I'm saying that Inoue fought handicapped. Had Donaire not clipped him, I think Inoue would have annihilated him.

That's why I maintain Pacquiao won the 4th fight with JMM.

He was fighting handicapped after that ko punch.

Had he not been clipped he dominates Marquez and stops him.

Probably. He dominated prime Donaire who went life and death with Inoue in old age.

Slightly out pointed? He made Donaire look like an amateur in there.

That was a masterclass from Rigo. Best performance from that decade between the very best.

That Rigo would have exposed Inoue something serious.

I'd certainly favor Rigondeaux at his professional best

I'm talking prime Rigo vs Inoue, not Donaire! Who I expect gets slightly outpointed and not dominated like the op indicates, even when he himself is at 118 at his 3rd weightclass, while prime Rigo is a 122lbs fighter.
