I was just watching this highlight clip on youtube from DAZN.
    This content is protected

It starts with the disclaimer "The following program contains scenes of violence from the very beginning and throughout and is not suitable for spectators under the age of 18."

Spectators under the age of 18, not even participants, spectators. You shouldn't watch boxing until you are 18 years old. Any of you guys feel we need to shield your ***** children from watching full contact sports until they are old enough to pay taxes?

18 seems a little high especially when you consider that 15 rated films can be extremely violent. But it does make sense to have some sort of age restriction, since kids would not be able to understand the sporting element of boxing. I would say something like 8+ or 10+.

It seems daft considering that most countries allow children/youths to start competing in boxing from the age of 12 years old.

In their defense, I'm glad that the first time I've seen such a disclaimer it was for a pretty brutal beatdown.

From my own experience (started watching with my dad before kindergarten I'd say no. I think most of it is the language, can't really control what is coming out of the corner. I wouldn't say its necessary but might as well cover your ass just to be safe.

They should have put a warning under Deontay Wilder during his ring walk.

“This forty pound costume may cause spinal issues, fatigue, sleepiness, autopsy, lack of skill and or weak knees. Please consult a medical professional before trying this at home.”

I was watching boxing since I was 8, and I guess I turned out normal.
But I also played violent videogames, watched violent movies and the 8 o'clock news, so I guess it just cancelled itself out or something like that.
Maybe souls are more tender nowadays, unless it comes to gambling, because most games featuring gambling are labelled E for everyone, while in my time you had to be 18 to gamble.
    Times change I guess.

Simply more puritanical virtue signaling appeasement by cowardly corporations to the brain dead perpetually triggered cancel culture pussies of generation woke. Who think this will keep the mob off their ass, well it won't. They're insatiable and irrational, which is never a good mix. I almost feel like canceling my subscription to DAZN to punish them for this. But l won't, because that would be as would be as gay as what they're doing, and I refuse to stoop to their level.:deal:

And to answer your question, who cares. Blah, blah, blah, the Bible, video games, horror, action, wrestling. More of the same pointless rambling hysterical censorious idiocy. If parents have an goddamn issue with it, that's up to them, that's why their parents oh, that's their job, to make judgment calls. I watched all that crap when I was a kid and I turned out fine, but not all kids act the same, so case by case basis. And that all comes down to the kid being violent, and gravitating towards it, not the other way around.
